  1. Hope u bring a spot light...looks like ur goin no where fast...
  2. I'm part of the summit viper crowd. I've owned mine for 14 years and it still works perfect, it's quiet and very comfortable.
  3. Thanks guys, and TCIII I'd like to get out there this year so I'm not preasuring my little chunk of land all season. Once we get some consistent cold weather maybe we can make that happen. Thanks again
  4. A deers nose is better than a dog's first off. Scent blocker and scent lok were sued and proven to be ineffective at blocking human scent. If u clean your hunting clothes regularly and pay attention to the wind u will b good. Now the ozone stuff has my interest.
  5. About a month ago while going around checking stands I had a 4 pt chasing a doe. I chalked that up to a young idiot.
  6. I live less than 10 min away. I'm interested in deer hunting the land but my question is do u need to get a permit to hunt it or can you just park and go hunt. Also is there a place to get a map so u know where you can and can not hunt deer? Thanks
  7. Also the m9 being chosen as the militarys pistol has alot to do with price. When it comes to special forces and the alike, they get to choose what the carry. They are carrying sigs and 1911 style pistols.
  8. I'm not a fan of it. I shot it well at our qualifications. But the grip is large, and I thought in general it felt bulky. I've owned a sig p229, and I think that would have been a great combat carry gun. It's heavy but great sights, good trigger, and a comfortable grip. If your looking for a home defense pistol glock are incredibly popular for a reason. They are very accurate and incredibly reliable. I would look at glock, springfield xd, smith and wesson m&p. Non are really expensive and all have a proven track record.
  9. Heal up quick and hopefully get out for the rut!
  10. I'd definitely get it replaced, probably cost you about $100 for new strings and cables to be installed.
  11. Well...you get either sex and antler less with bow/ml tag, you get buck tag for gun, 2 dmp tags, u can get 2 more of left overs and you can get a few more signed over to u....so you can get close to ten, I've shot 4 in a season a couple times, but that sounds a little exaggerated to me.
  12. I don't see tons of deer, define ty saw more probably 10 years ago, but I have averaged taking atleast 2 deer a year since I was 14, I'm 33 now. I shot a doe yesterday, coulda shot another today. Put enough time in the woods and learn from people that have been doing it along time. Also hunting good property helps, they need cover food and water. Find it and u should find deer. I should also say I have always hunted private land.
  13. Son was thrilled to see this doe and fawn on his first time out with me this year. Unfortunately my daughter headed in early.
  14. Also found my arrow from yesterday, nocturnal still glowing. The NAP killzone looks perfect too.
  15. Sitting with my hunting partners overlooking our food plot.
  16. Shot at 540, waited an hour I knew the shot was high. She went about 75 yards. Arrow passed through top of the shoulder and went through the ribs opposite side but never through the skin. I will say I'm happy with the NAP killzones, there is a 2" gash through the shoulder clipped high on one lung and made a massive wound on the second. Wish it would have exited the deer opposite side, but she died fast.
  17. Skinned quartered and in the fridge, so thankful. Shot was high, hit the top of the shoulder and never exited, went through opposite ribs but didn't puncture the hide. Never found the arrow. I'll b out tomorrow afternoon lookin for it.
  18. Can't believe tootsie pops are so riska with the roller skating girl showing her booty
  19. Starting to rain in 8g, maybe the mosquitos will go away now.
  20. At it same stand hoping for different results. Goodluck everyone.
  21. Inside drying out with my brother in law, 4 deer seen between the 2 of us, hopefully some success this afternoon.
  22. Just drew on a doe twice at 20 yards, no good shot, damn!
