And the winner... first cut of meat going in the new smoker is a “stuffed roast” of Doe backstrap ends with fresh herbs sandwiched between the sides and wrapped in bacon. Later today we‘re doing “pork shooters” and chicken wings. Along with fish fry. Happy Fathers Day!

North end. And it was busier than I’ve ever seen it. We fished just deeper than the weeds in like 17-20 ft of water. Couldn’t even get the worm down to the bottom without getting a fish, but had to work through tons of small ones. On an ultralight setup it’s still fun.

Got out on Hemlock for a bit this morning. Took the ladies out for a ride and managed enough panfish for a fish fry tomorrow. Ended up with 2 dozen keeper bluegills, 3 rock bass, and one big old perch. What a beautiful day!

I have limited history with rattlesnakes... but they were always shy, and trying to get away. Water snakes are the pricks who can be aggressive.

I’m slowly winning the war against chipmunks... with 2 weapons. These traps are easy to use, baited with peanut butter.

All time... a number 4 silver Mepps Aglia with brown fur has got to be my number 1. After that... Yo-Zuri pin minnow in silver And most recently... Iv had the best luck with Berkley flicker shad in Racy shad.

Shot great. No issue with recoil. Must be noticeably louder than the normal .22s, handguns and ARs... one of the neighbors asked if I bought a cannon.

We found out this weekend that my 2 year old daughter is scared of frogs but obsessed with snakes. Weirdo Bonus points for finding the 4th snake!

Grilled salmon... 2 chunks with Dino BBQ big action rub, and the other 2 I’m experimenting with @Bionic tater topper. And as always a plain piece for baby Plav. The venison sausage hockey puck is on because... the grill was goin, so why not. Maybe it’ll be lunch tomorrow.

Got home from work late and the crowd was already here. Bye bye quarantine. I was talked into relaxing and calling in an audible. $70 from Tom Wahl’s and we’re all having burgers, fries and onion rings. Cheers!
