Ok I admit it I'm Getting old I'm trading in my 12 gauge 870 express mag for my 870 20 gauge. I am now looking for help to find a gunsmith that can lengthen the forcing cone in the barrel of my 20 gauge so I can use it for turkey and maybe camo dip it also any one know of a gunsmith that can do this preferably someone they have used with a good outcome

I shoot chucks all summer well when the Mrs is working anyway usually 10 to 15 a week I'm ok when it comes to deer hunting i have shot somewhere around 80 to 100 of them through out the summer months

My springier pup ate the wife's chocolate and most of the box it came in on Christmas eve I guess its the season even they can be bad once a year LOL

enjoy them now before you know it they have moved on to there new lives and have there own children. But let me say this theirs nothing like grand kids to make Christmas a special day all over again. Now if they would just show up on time and make the wife happy !!

I know what you mean about the cooks I have seen some rough ones at the game dinners but at least they keep the beer cold

check the drain hose my grand daughters sock caused mine to stop draining seems it found away out of the washer into the drain hose would not believed it if I was not standing there when the repair guy pulled it out and handed it to me

we buy for the grand kids everybody else can fend for there self the holidays shouldn't be labeled so the stores can make money or cry they didn't make enough

a real good hard cold snap for about 10 days would do wonders to knocking down some of the tick numbers that is if there is no snow to insulate them first

just makes you wander it was a accidental shooting of a second bear and her guide was doing what? I have no pity for stupid mistakes you should always know your target and keep a eye on it until its down the guide should get the same fine as the shooter.

Yes I mark everything in my freezer also! but this taxidermy guy has me concerned about this issue with the heads I am trying to figure out is it ok to give heads away to other people and not cause a storm of problems for them or me.

What do you do with the carcass tag once its been filled out and the meat has been processed do you keep it with the meet or do you keep it with the head if it stays with the head then what about does? someone asked me the other day for the head of a small buck I shot so they can boil it out and paint it. but taxidermist once told me if it has hair on it then it also must have a tag with it. I always kept my tags with the meat!

I peel them it can be a bit of a job but the brine seems to loosen the skin a little I guess its your own choice, But I also do the same with the cow tongues after there we get them butchered.

nope me either but I do know for a fact they eat them in the south hence the reason I live in the north so accidents like eating them don't happen

tongue is good just saying try it as its just a meat not much unlike of the rest of the deer hearts are good also but theirs no way in he## your getting me to eat liver of any kind
