I already tried that too nope didn't help !! even changed to my 20 ga still no help lol but I wish you the best of luck anyway. I did see about 10 jakes in a group today of course thats when I was walking around with my grandkids after 3:00 but at least they seen some and track stew is ok if you just add a little spices to it.

sorry have to agree with everyone else the round shape throws it off
-
better to of tried and failed then to never of tried at all!!

At least you took your time and looked I have known those that don't! I can also say from experience I wounded a turkey once we found it in the thickest meanest briar bush I ever seen. Finding one in a pine grove could be pretty close to impossible as they hide and blend better then deer. And like others have said things happen don't rip yourself apart its all part of hunting not every shot is a giving kill sometimes we just get over excited!!

Ya I got the same e-mail in my junk box not a fan of opening unknown stuff so I just deleted it

oh ya on the farm we have a a few dogs that get the mange every year I will look up the meds we use and send the link to you if you need it just let me know it kinda almost like a heart worm medication but it clears it up in usually one dose

sounds like you have a great area just need the birds to find roosting areas closer are maybe they are coming through later 9:30-10:00 do you hear any gobbling or hens yelping. also they need water to help keep their eggs damp. what kind of crops are in the fields they like clover and other grasses specially any new seeding or new growth

I have a friend he comes up from south Carolina every year to turkey hunt with me and in exchange takes me up to Ontario for salmon well this year he has missed three in a row and has fired seven shots while doing so I think he just get over excited the shots are less the 40 yards everyone of them. and were not talking jakes nice mature long beards in open fields no brush he is just shaking from the excitement I love to call birds but i also like to see them being carried out once in the while Great news he has pulled out to head home today so maybe the ones he has not scared to the next county will still come in to the calls lol
-
somehow I always end up with two others and me and I do the calling I enjoy that more then shooting them, and watching the newer guys and ladies shake as the birds are coming in is a blast too
-
I wish you guys and ladies the best of luck Sunday with my health I would be in the hospital by Tuesday so I'll be staying home with the misses until the rain lets up.

just glad to see she didn't get hurt! just a solid reminder to everyone be safe and enjoy your time afield -
Really nice set up you have there, I have a Remington 22-250 its a older one shows the years but I can say it shoots straight, longest shot last year was 347 yards and that's with federal factory ammo. I have the same problem with weight of the gun since I put the bi pod on so when i walking the smaller farms 100 yrd or less shots I remove it and use the triple shooting stick makes a nice walking stick and the gun lighter too.

good luck to all the youths going out this weekend may your tags be filled and your memories last forever

I skin them leave the tail attached batter them in egg flour mixed with club soda then deep fry them once their done you can hold them by the tail and use your fork to scrape the meat off the bones it just falls off with very little effort
-
congrats my you have many great years of hunting ahead of you
-
clover doesn't like rocky gravel areas so that might be something working against your out come I we broad cast clover on fields and it takes without many issues

Arrested for Running over Dec Officer with ATV
Critter4321 replied to Vince1's topic in General Chit Chat
Regardless it all come down to RESPECT have it for your peers, elders and law enforcement no exceptions the laws are wrote the same way for everyone -
I hate to break it to you guys but since NYS police stopped coming to court they have a DA that trys to plead down your ticket they dont call it a trial date like they used to. If you and the DA cannot make a deal then the issuing officer has to come and state his claim at a different date and time this would be your trial. if you look at your ticket they usually come with a supporting deposition from the officer this gives the DA some idea what the officer is claiming as a reason for the citation in the first place. so to answer your question (no the officer does not have to be present in court and him not being there does not mean they throw out your ticket)
