  1. Centerfires = zero at 200 yds Hot rimfires (22 mag, 17hmr, 17wsm) = zero at 100 yds 22lr = zero at 50 yds
  2. For all the news hype, it was kind of a dud of a storm.
  3. Aren't you worried that you'll kill somebody?!
  4. Dinner out this Saturday (in advance of V-day), and then in the spirit of the current AR thread, I should be doing some top-loading...
  5. I'll ride the tractor over. You're around 10 miles from me. If I leave now, I can be there by 3:00!
  6. My wife and I took a vacation day to avoid our daily long commute in the expected weather today. Got a fire going in the wood stove, venny steaks defrosting on the counter, and a full tank of diesel in the tractor. Ready for a good old fashion snowstorm. Bring it on!!
  7. Good points. It's probably a lot of grief that comes with a road rage ticket - wouldn't want to find out. I don't brake check much, just tap the brakes and slow down noticeably for a bit. But when that invisible dog runs out in front of me...
  8. I used to feel that way as well, cause I used to tailgate a bit too. Back around 2002, I had a carload of kids tailgating me while I was towing our boat. Well, the car in front of me slowed (kind of abruptly) to make a left turn and the tailgaiter rear ended my boat. Late model 4 Winns 21 ft cuddy with a 205HP I/O. My pride and joy! Lucky for me the damage was confined to the trailer. His daddy's car didn't fare so well. I brush 'em all back now.
  9. We've got a cat that lives in the chicken coop with my wife's birds. She has her own clean/heated apartment in there. Someone dumped her on us a few years ago. She roams around all day mostly on our place. I can walk outside and call her/whistle and if she's within earshot she comes running. Always affectionate.
  10. Nah - cats always get a pass from me. Most of them belong to somebody. Why kill them?
  11. That kitty looks pretty well fed for a feral cat. Somebody's outdoor cat on her mid-day patrol?
  12. Except the field dressing and mandatory inner loins on the grill after the photo session. Seriously I don't necessarily "enjoy" the kill so to say, but nothing beats the adrenaline rush during the moment, and the feeling you get when you see it go down right there or at least in sight.
  13. That's awesome. Love all the intricate detail!
  14. Breakfast for dinner. Eggs from our birds, syrup from the maples out back, waffle mix from scratch and bacon from the wild boar I speared. No, that came from Tops I think. But, red or white wine?
  15. I have to say, I don't have an opinion yet either way as the airbow thing is mostly new to me. I've seen it on the internet before, but didn't really pay much attention at the time. But I've been studying it since this thread started. And I do believe I want one to mess around with. And it would fit in my gun safe! So I like this thread. Dilly dilly!
  16. Good luck guys! Wish I had the testicular fortitude for that tonight, but it's 8 degrees and breezy here. Getting a toasty fire going instead. Go lay 'em out!
  17. Huh? I don't have a dog in this fight. Just trying to lighten it up.
  18. Can I bring TeBow along with me in October or do I have to wait til November? He's got limbs...
  19. I feel ya, I hate the kneeling, the criminal stuff. But my favorite sport is football by a big margin. I figure I have to pay high taxes, can't have unrestricted gun rights, it's wrong to have a mistress, and smoking, drinking, and overeating are all unhealthy. I'll be damned if I give up football too. Might as well enter a freakin' monastery or take a dirt nap..
  20. Absolutely! I've been saying that forever. You sir, have my vote for NFL Commish! Let's start a campaign!
  21. Cute pup - congrats to the addition to your family!
  22. Absolutely correct on that. Federal law bars "straw purchases".
