AR's are just another step in the direction of banning firearms. The anti-gun crowd is already targeting our deer rifles as high powered sniper rifles. There's plenty of rhetoric about that out there. Concealed carry is yet another step - nobody "needs" to be walking around with a loaded gun in public. Semi-auto handguns are also a target as they have been used in mass shootings about as much as AR's. So first they come for AR's, Then deer rifles, Then concealed carry, Then semi-auto pistols. We'll get down to that single shot shotgun in no time at all. It is a slippery slope indeed.

Still haven’t been able to fly except for minimal times here and there. Free time and favorable winds haven’t lined up for me much yet. I did take it for a spin in last evening’s calm winds over two of our back fields. I didn’t see them on my screen when I was in the air but on playback on a tablet I noticed this flock of 13 birds heading back to their roosting ridge. Such a cool device!

Coincidentally, I find you to be really weird. You bloviate on and on and on and on about the same stuff, but when engaged in open and non-confrontational communication, you either a) clam up, b) avoid the question, c) turn it around as an insult to the questioner. This is a fairly decent community of mostly like-minded members who besides their pursuit of outdoor recreation, are all concerned about 2A rights. But although I certainly can't speak for everybody here, I think you're all alone in your quest to relive 1776. I haven't been offended at anything you've posted, rather it makes me curious to interact with you. I have an engineering background so I'm naturally curious of things and how they work. Maybe I'm feeling some sense of schadenfreude or something like it regarding the fact that you come off as a paranoid little keyboard warrior, and you really don't bring anything else to the forum. Oh yeah, you post memes - cause that'll save our gun rights, lol. Someone else asked your profession, and you turtled up immediately. OMG, "they might find out who I am - oh no"! And if I'm correct, your previous persona as Papist was more engaging as a person.

I'm right there with you. Mine has all been put on since deer season (or what I sometimes refer to as Reese's peanut butter cup season). A little bit of outdoor work, and I'm winded and then sore as heck the next day. I've been eating all the wrong things and way too much of it all. I used the first day of Spring as a start to see if I can shed 15 of it by the first day of summer.

No problem Grouse. Honestly though, that’s a lot of doublespeak. If you’re talking about a 1776 type action, you’ll find few who embrace those tactics. Some of those few are waiting for their trials for the capitol incident. I’ll continue to vote Republican, sign petitions, support 2A rights groups and follow the law. Call me a FUDD or whatever, but I won’t be taking up arms against the government.

This is pretty much my opinion exactly. There is no way I'm going to fight anything except in the courts after the fact. I find it interesting that I had to ask this question 3 or maybe it was 4 times now, and I got sidestepped each and every time like a politician's double speak. I asked the person who is the most vocal on the board of this sort of thing. Got nothing. Maybe meme's will save the 2A, lol.

I asked what would be a suggestion for me to do. I didn't ask anything about you or your plans. It's a serious question. If you think I'm trolling you, you're mistaken. You keep sidestepping my question - 3X now. I hear you about not keeping it in the home but I'll ask again, in my hypothetical situation, what's my next move to fight tyranny?

Disclaimer, I am not picking on you or trying to instigate anything. That said, I've asked once or twice and you kind of sidestepped the question each time. So what would you suggest for tactics for "fighting" tyranny in the context of these gun control efforts? For example, let's say that I have an illegal gun in my home. In plain view. For conversation's sake, let's pretend it's a full featured AR with a 100 round drum mag. The NYSP come knocking on the door with a warrant. I would undoubtedly let them come in as the warrant allows. So, honest question; What is my other choice(s) to fight tyranny?

While my first thought was sorrow for the victims, as soon as I read the store shooter had an "AR style gun", I thought "here comes the ban".
