  1. I always wanted to go to this but never burned a vacation day for it. Pretty interesting stuff! Very nice that they do a presentation for the public like this. It drew a good crowd, vehicles were parked up and down the road. I was able to get some good views though. Fun to see the DEC crew celebrate a nice one!
  2. Glad that you're OK except for being messy. I've been close, but nowhere near that close! What a cool encounter!
  3. The safe act is, let's say less than clear. But there is zero mention of bipods in the state's "guidance" document. You mentioned "register". Did you mean transfer?
  4. I ordered one of these a while ago that was back ordered. While I was waiting for it to ship, I received one as a gift. Keeping the gifted one and would rather sell the new one here to someone that can get good use from it rather than dealing with the return process. Brand new in box, never opened. Black in color. Would rather sell local, but will ship on buyer’s dime if needed. Currently $170 from Cabelas. Selling for $125 https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/bog-deathgrip-shooting-tripod I love this thing. Very stable. I’ve shot a few different rifles, an 870, and my crossbow from it and it’s gripped everything tightly and squarely except my Henry which has a bit of an odd profile where it sits in the grip. A couple of rubber pad shims solved that. Pics of the tripod is the one I’m keeping, the one I’m selling is unopened.
  5. Nope, not listed. https://safeact.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2020/02/rifles_banned_features.pdf
  6. I didn’t think a bipod was listed as one of the evil features prohibited by the safe act.
  7. Close up show out the back window with my morning coffee today. Total of 4 jakes, 1 long beard and 11 hens. And not one hen paid the slightest bit of attention to any of the boys. Target is 50 yds.
  8. Neighbor around the corner hit “a nice buck” with his truck on our road that he said kept running and was toward the direction I found this guy. That was around early January. He was laying 1000+ yards from the road though.
  9. Got out and about today and came across this guy. 6x4 10 pointer and would have been a nice one this year. Found a torn up button buck 150 yds from this one. He’s the best deadhead I’ve found anyways.
  10. I was finally able to get the ATV in the woods on Monday afternoon without getting stuck. Tapped a few and will go see what I’ve got a little later today.
  11. Good morning birdies! C’mon in. We’ll have coffee and talk Turkey.
  12. Darker and more flavor in the later season.
