Water Rat

I used to trap the fields of loosestrife near my old house. In the summer , I would take my weed whacker and make 10' trap circles down to the bare ground. The fox and coyotes would hunt these areas looking for mice and voles. The trap circle will be littered with their scat. When the season opened , I would make my set and always double stake them with rebar in an X formation. The great thing about it was they were out of sight when they were caught. Unfortunately , this is just a memory now. The area I trapped now is Walmart , Westage Business Center and the Fishkill Outlet.

Personally , I would prefer a 12 gauge over a 20 gauge any day. Plain and simple , it's more powerful. At the present time , I use a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag but always wanted to try out the Remington SP Mag 10.

I always thought Cuddeback Trail Cameras were considered one of the best on the market. However , when I looked on TrailCamPro.Com for their reviews , I found out that Cuddeback doesn't want to be included in any tests or reviews. Every other manufacturer is listed. Certainly seems like a red flag to me.

Worst summer ? Summer just started a week ago.

Even though David Sweat deserves to die , I sincerely hope he is captured or surrenders. He was originally sentenced to life without parole and now faces an additional 7 years for felony escape (which is redundant.) The best part of his capture would mean he would be placed in SHU (special housing unit ) in solitary confinement for the rest of his life. The only human contact he would have would be with correctional staff. That would be a hell of a lot worse than being dead. Dying would be too good for him.

When all else fails , I sometimes use a silent dog whistle. I've had sporadic success with it and as an added bonus , no other hunters hear it.

I know exactly where that property is. If I'm not mistaken there is a right of way and I believe there is a small pond on the property. There are a lot of houses that surround the property. I don't think I would shoot a firearm there but you could get away with shooting a bow.
