  3. Awesome Cat!!! How was the hunt physically on your body?
  4. I'm out this year due to eye surgery. It was supposed to be simple Lasik, but when he went in he changed it to a more advanced PSK surgery which takes three to six months to heal. I looked throw my scope the other day it's crystal clear, but I'm not taking any chances.I might take a few shots with my crossbow next week and see how it goes. And as luck would have it there's been deer in my little food plots everyday. Feel better Northcountryman and NonTypical
  5. Any of you guys use one of theses? I bought it for my 160’s but will it hold a 330 ? I don’t like having a false sense of security. My traps will be hear Monday so I’m getting everything together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How the heck do you fish a hair jig? I picked up a few after reading your posts, but have no clue how to fish them.I tried tipping them with a curlytail and swimming it.
  7. I knew an older guy that always shot the deer where the head and neck met with a .22 mag. For two reasons he couldn't walk very good and he liked to eat the lungs.I meet him at the rifle range he would put up a target with rows of 1" circles and shoot all day at 50yrds. not once did his bullet land outside the circle.I know because i changed his targets out for him.I used to give him a few deer when i was nuisance hunting there wasn't much waste when he got done butchering the deer and that went to his pigs. My brothers first bow kill was a head shot right in the ear.I agree with grouse the gutting was much cleaner.
  8. Congrats on the retirement!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Cool I know a perfect pinch point. It’s about three feet wide. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It does I was able to sit on that rock before the beaver moved in. Someday I’d like to throw a few sunfish in it and see if they last. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That’s a nice park I used to do a lot of hunting and shed hunting there. The thing with the turkey is they cross the highway back and forth all day long. I’m not sure if you can turkey hunt the south side of the highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Here’s a few more pics of my pond. There’s a pile of branches in the main creek next to the den. I should’ve mentioned this pond is only one or two acres. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’m not messing around with any ice. I’ll wait maybe someone else will take them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. If I had to pick between the two I’d go with Sarnoff on the south end of the park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ya i was just reading hardwater is not good,I see a den on the other side that they covered with new branches could that be one?
  16. I took a walk down to my pond and snapped a few pictures of where there coming on my property. The den is on the other side and it’s a little rough to get too. I’m thinking conibear here? And both drowning sets here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I’ll look it up on YouTube and give it a try with my 160. I also have a coni lock that works pretty good. I’ve been on trapperrman a few times never noticed the forum section thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. You can get primers shipped to NY. I just scored 5000 magnum rifle primers from Natchez. If you sign up and ask to be notified about the primers you want they will let you know when there in. Just be ready to buy they go fast. Good luck https://www.natchezss.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=0&q=Primers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks for the offer I’m up in the ADK’s. I’m going to buy the traps I’ll probably have to deal with those beaver as long as I’m here. There where a few different styles of mb750’s which would you recommend. Also any recommendations on the coni’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have a little pond on the back of my property that sometimes gets beaver in it. I really wouldn't mind them back there except there knocking a lot of trees down.I spent a few hours cutting and hauling a 30 foot ash out and still have three more to cut up.I need to get rid of these SOB'S I looked around town today for a 330 conibear trap couldn't find any.I have everything to set up a drowning set,but only have mb550's will they work???
  24. Congrats on the nice buck!!! what is that rifle you where using?
  25. The real problem is all the other states that followed his lead.It would open them up to any lawsuits.I hope she runs because I don't think she stands a chance of winning.
