I bow hunted for 30 plus years and wouldn't change a thing,but now i'm in an area where i can use firearms and find the bow on the hook more and more i didn't even pick it up this year.I get in ruts right now its all about the cap/ball muzzle loader,but next year it might be the crossbow or a rifle. I've been looking more forward to smallgame hunting then deer hunting the last 2-3 years.

Stratford,fulton county. I'm in the northern zone but the southern zone is 10-15 miles away. It's all I know.

Of the work force that is!!!! I can’t believe I stuck to the plain 55/30 and out. A little bitter sweet some will understand other won’t I liked my job and enjoyed working,but it’s time to start a new chapter in my life hunting,fishing and exploring the great outdoors. I have a few medical things to take care of, but will be heading upstate to live out my life in the lower Adirondack’s in a few weeks. To say I’m looking forward to it is an understatement. If they consider a crossbow a muzzleloader wouldn't you have to follow the firearm rule? I wouldn't wear it on my property,but always wear some kind of orange on public land.

I don't think it's 5j but there is enough swampy wet land to support them.The lack of deer might be from the EHD that's going around the state or the browse changed from the logging.

I've had beaver meat before its pretty damn good never knew skulls or tails where worth anything.What about other animal skulls? I'm going to target racoons at the end of the month to try the meat and see how it goes skinning and tanning the fur.

skunk essence and beaver castor seem to be the money makers.I never caught ether of them,but will be try some trapping again this year.

I never heard the common eel called that before, I know in the ocean there are pout fish or conga eels. I’ve read that some eels never reach sexual maturity and stay in freshwater there whole lifetime and get pretty big. The best eating size are small like the ones used for striped bass. Most likely my last fishing trip for this year. I tried fly fishing on a little creek but there was a bunch of guys canoeing in to hunt,so I went up to sacandaga lake caught one nice smallie and missed a pickerel. The regulations say fluorescent solid orange or pink what about orange camouflage is that legal. I always wear some kind of orange but most of it is camo orange.

This is more then a few every window facing the sun has about a dozen or more.I had a chuck under my front steps I shot him but now the steps are sagging.I'll be pulling them apart in the spring.There very destructive little bastards.
