  1. Light rain and some wind or cloudy and windy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’ve never hunted in that area, but north of 29a I’ve had some luck and missed opportunity’s. I’ve yet to see a beast mostly spikes and four pointer’s but I haven’t hunted up there long enough to know all the ins and outs. I see deer constantly on my travels both on private and state property. There here just not as abundant. Find the food and play the wind. Muzzle loader season is by far my favorite time to hunt there’s basically no one in the woods. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I fished a local stream today for three hours nothing. The water was clear with a temperature of 43* I tried flies and a few tins. I’m heading to a river tomorrow hopefully it will produce something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Are you looking to hunt by little falls or arietta? Still hunting is the way to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You should check the northern/southern boundary it sounds like you’ll be in the southern zone. I believe route 29 is the break. You can look it up on the Dec website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I got an email about this and thought I’d post it if anyone has one you can check the serial number here: https://ruger.com/dataProcess/sr22retrofit/?r=models Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I’m going to start that book this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There’s a 20ga. On arms list up in Albany. I don’t know the person I just saw it and your post. https://www.armslist.com/posts/13650172/albany-new-york-shotguns-for-sale--20ga-remington-870-combo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I don’t mess around with ice. I want to fish the shoreline when it melts. I’ve read the brown trout cruse along the shoreline early season when it first melts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Can any of you southpaws near the cannonsville or papacon reservoirs let me know if the ice is gone yet. I'm thinking of making a trip down next week or so to try for some browns.
  12. Those are priced to sell if they where small pistol primers they'd be gone already.
  13. That’s the one. They even have reloading stuff. My go to store is Frank’s in Amsterdam they seem to always have what I need at a decent price and they are a friendly group of guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. If your rifle is a bolt or lever you should be using a Sinclair bore guide with an o ring. https://www.sinclairintl.com/gun-cleaning/rod-guides-bore-guides/bolt-action-rifle-guides/centerfire-o-ring-guides/sinclair-o-ring-rod-guides-for-308-30-06-family-prod34241.aspx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Walmart has been pretty steady with the .22 ammo. Another store with decent prices and a steady supply is running’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I wouldn’t worry about your scent. I don’t believe in throwing food away and have a scrap area out back for whatever wants to eat it. It’s crows and blue jays during the day(fisher sometimes) and everything from mice to bears at night, even a snowshoe hare pops in once and a while. I add to it and walk by it almost every day it doesn’t bother the yotes at all. One even hits it during the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. maybe it's the brass brush? I use copper and nylon brushes and clean them with dish soap and water when I'm done. Hopefully someone know the answer.
  18. Is the patch black or light grey?
  19. Which ever safe you go with make sure it has a key bypass. My friend has a Winchester with no bypass he had to pay a locksmith to open it when the digital lock broke.I got this one from big dick's sporting goods it's got a bunch of shelf configuration's and pistol sleeves on the door. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/wasatch-24-gun-fire-safe-with-electronic-lock-19svwu24gnfrwtrlcgua/19svwu24gnfrwtrlcgua Was it a difficult process to swap over your NY license to CT?
  20. It’s definitely an interesting book. I’m not sure if it was you or left field the recommended it,but thanks. I can’t get over all the changes and alterations they made, also all the damage. I fished lake wanetta for years and never knew it was a trout hatchery at on time, now it’s a pickerel pond. unfortunately other then the “Good Book” I’m one and done no need to let them rot on a shelf if someone else out there to enjoy it.
  21. Ok I’ll get it out today

This is a pretty interesting book about the history of the beaverkill. I enjoyed reading it. If anyone wants it let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If I had two do it over again I’d hunt everything with an 870,but I’m to deep into it now. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I’m surprised they never opened wertheim for a few weeks there all over that place. Then again they’ll probably wait until it’s out of control and hire sharpshooters to kill them. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
