  1. Sad. His 13 year old daughter was also in the crash. And a HS coach.
  2. Was listening to sports radio in the drive this morning as they recapped Eli’s SB runs. He beat Brett Farve in sub-zero temps in Green Bay and he beat Tony Romo’s Cowboys who were the top seed. During the second run, he beats Aaron Rodgers and then in SF, he takes 6 sacks, 12 QB hits, had his helmet nearly ripped off, and still came back and beat them. I like everyone else focused so much on the two catches that we forgotten that he was a tremendous play off performer. That it was a shame thy didn’t build more around him towards the later half of his career to get him into playoff more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I've heard people saying they've seen some crazy people park on the other side (by the Ridge Hill Mall side) and then run across the highway.
  4. If you had a crystal ball that told you that if you draft a particular QB, you team will lose every year but you’ll win 2 Superbowls. Every team but the Patriots would draft that WB in a heartbeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith, and Kevin Boss did great catching passes from Eli. What did they do after they cashed in and left the Giants? Don’t let the fact that Kevin Boss had 2 straight years of 500+ receiving yards under Eli make you think he was a good receiving TE. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. It takes two to make a great catch. Tyree doesn’t make that catch without Eli’s command of the offense and his little Houdini act. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I think he gets in but BARELY. Stats and 2 Superbowl MVPs is a decent argument. He's also done quite a lot of so little. There was a recent article showing the phases of Eli's career relative to the Giants roster. Whenever he had a decent offensive line and a #1 WR, Giants contented. Phase one - Had Toomer and Shockey but no O-Line. Didn't do that well. Phase two - Got Plaxico. Got David Dielh and Chris Snee to solidify the line. Won superbowl Phase three - Plaxico shot himself team went into tailspin. Phase four - Rebuild WR with Cruz. Won Super bowl again. Phase five - Cruz blew out his knee. Line got old. Never drafted a single lineman in the first 3 rounds since taking Chris Snee then striking out with Flowers and and Pugh ruined Eli's career. Sucked again for rest of career. You can say anyone can win with a good offensive line and a number 1 WR but then you look at the Cowboys. They have 3 pro-bowlers in the offensive line. Each considered to be in the top 3 of their positions. Amari Cooper and/or Jason Witten to go with Zeke Elliot and they haven't done squat.
  8. Sorry, just go to this now. I had the same thing happen many years ago. I left a bag of Jack Link's beef jerky on the coffee table and my puppy at that time got to it and ate it but also ate the silica gel that they usually keep in there. I took her to the vet, vet put her on IV. Said the drooling is just her body expelling out the chemicals/toxins. I dropped her off in the morning. By the time I picked her up after work she wasn't drooling any more and jumping around like nothing happened. In the end, I just figured the IV was another reason for him to milk me for $500 but you never know how their bodies would react to a foreign substance. I'm glad your lab to going ok.
  9. They made a documentary about this. It's called "The Grudge".
  10. Shoeless Joe Jackson purposely threw the series. Astros cheated. Bonds, McGuires, etc. cheated. All Pete Rose did was bet on his own team TO WIN! His actions never altered the outcome or the integrity of the game. How the heck is he banned for life?
  11. $20 for a pack of 12 is a nice deal. But I have enough socks that it's not worth while for the drive up. Next time I'm in the area and it's still not sold, I'll swing by.
  12. So technically he's eating the corn himself. He just have to pass it through the "deer" oven first.
  13. Tacks....The Bam Bam comment and being 15 years off on Dykstra...I'm going to have to put you into the baseball corner. You'll have to take a time out for 15 minutes.
  14. Mets already signed Bam Bam. He's the bench coach.
  15. I'm a Mets fan and I would do it. It's just going to be a dark cloud that's going to follow him that's bad PR. I was in favor of Eduardo Perez to begin with. I would circle back to Perez to see if he's still interested and if he is, then I'll tell Beltran "sorry but just can't do it." If Perez or Tim Bogar or any of the other runner ups are no longer interested since it's so close to the season or whatever reason, then I'd rather hold on to Beltran than waste a year on an interim manager.
  16. Anyone I talk to about a Beagle either love them or hate them. Odd.
  17. My last dog passed away when my 1st son was still very young. Now I'll have to wait till my second boy is a little older and a bit more independent before we can add another "baby" to the household. But I'm itching for one. I'm also limited in the size (part of city apartment living). Another forum member has a Mountain Feist and I took immediate interest. I 'm pretty sure in a couple of years, that's what I'll end up getting. Just concerned that if it's off the leash, it'll run off chasing after something and I won't find it till hours later.
  18. I like how I show up late and completely unexpecting and you guys tried to pawn her off on me like a stolen item.
