I have been good enough not to need a follow up shot and not fortunate enough to encounter a second deer in one hunt. But if I think it might not have been such a great idea to take advice from this guy.

I use those TC shockwaves. It's dropped deer. I never felt a need to go away from it so I can't tell you if there's another that will kill the deer more efficiently.

Hiking/camping, photography, and now drone video/photography. Basically anything that'll give me a reason to get outdoors.

Is there a general rule when it comes to barrel twist rate versus bullet weight? As in is it better to use a lighter bullet when using a faster twist rate versus a slower twist rate, etc.? Also, I'm assuming the lower the number the faster the twist rate. i.e. 1-8" is faster than 1-12".

Hand shakes don't count because you extend your hand out as well therefore implying consent. The equivalent here is the other person extends their hand to shake yours but you kept your hand to your side so the reached over and grab your hand anyway to shake it. #4. I'm sure 99% of the time it's innocent but it's those few bad apples that ruin it for everyone else. I'm sure Harvey Weinstein has made a bunch of moral sound producers work environments awkward. Do you blame the co-worker or do you blame HW? #5. I literally just had to go through our annual harassment refresher. It is legal and recommended to report unwanted contact done to other when you witness it even if you're not the one involved. I work with a lot of Europeans and they have their standard of hugs and double cheek kisses. I keep my distance. Oh, the amount of restrain I have to have. I work with a lot of attractive people. I was in the office of one and she had to work an event that night so she showed up to work in her cocktail party gown. My first through was "wow, you look nice" but I caught myself. What came out was "Waa.....umm....so...what's the occasion?"

@Borngeechee NJ is swamped with bears. Sterling Forest runs into NJ. I suggest hiking deep into Sterling and hugging the NJ/NY border. No many hunters go in that deep because if they get a good size bear, dragging it out that far is tough. Hopefully all them dead lifts you've been doing will help.

Many of us will tell you how often we're in the stand and want to shoot that annoying squirrel. But most of us never do because we're too afraid it'll scare off that deer we hope is just around the corner. I said you make your game plan that morning on what you're going to hunt and then just go hard core at it. The other idea which I've done before is go with a buddy. I'll bring a deer gun and have just as much fun helping him get his squirrels and his squirrels stalks hopefully drives some deer over to me, etc.

Not trapped gas, transfer of kinetic energy. it's the same reason when an asteroid hits the ground and leaves a crater or when you throw a rock into sand and the sand bounce upwards.
