Earning report stunk, same store sales down 2% and revenue down. No plans to open any new F&S stores in '18. Stock gapped down over 5% at the open. Maybe they'll get a question about pulling AR's and raising the age to 21 on their earnings call at 10 am, but it seems irrelevant. I stand by my earlier assessment: pandering publicity stunt to distract from their lousy financial situation. Dick's has performance issues

Well, if you want to split hairs, DKS is down a bit over the latest month since Parkland while the S&P 500 is up . It's not like the stock gapped up 20% on the CEO's controversial announcement. Personally, I think it was a desperate publicity grab to attract buyers, but the fact stands that if you owned this stock since $50-$52, you're pissed. *Disclaimer: I do not own any positions for or against DKS and my comments are purely for entertainment purposes only.

Results from an online survey should be taken with a grain of salt. For example, YouGov's survey data was on the wrong side of Brexit. I'm not saying dismiss it altogether, just that one survey shouldn't be taken as gospel. Dick's has bigger problems as evidenced by their plunging stock price. It's not as if taking another loss by clearing the shelves of AR's and ammo will benefit their bottom line. Wonder what that will look like in the next earnings release.

Coward County Sheriff "Candy and nuts", his ball-less deputies and those useless FBI agents all still have jobs and are being sued along with the school. I didn't see any AR's, bump stocks, ammo or the NRA listed as defendants though.
