Practiced a little social distancing today amongst other things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
FYI I drove by the ranges today on my way home and as per the sign they are temporarily closed to help fight the spread of COVID-19. They had every ranged coned and taped off with a sign. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had to re read this twice. The first time I read it I was shocked that you where saying all this! I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Then I read it again and realized you where quoting other people. I’m a bit slow. Lol Hope all is well on the home front! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Let him know that we thank him for his dedication to the job at hand and that we hope he makes it through this unaffected. -
From what little I remember for trout in small streams you want either a 4 or 5 weight rod with it being between 7.5 and 8.5 feet. Of course it’s all a matter of what exactly you are fishing and where. Perhaps we can hook up and chase some trout together. Of course a reasonable social distance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I dug everything out of the garage and besides needing new leaders and maybe tippet line I think I’m pretty good to go. Oh I will also need some trout flies as I have mostly steelhead flies left. I’m pretty stoked and hopefully I get to hit the streams this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don’t think I’ve physically blown him yet but I have said he’s doing a good job right now. I listened to his afternoons press conference and heard his response when a reporter asked him if he would move downstate patients upstate to where there is more room. Going from memory he never said he wasn’t going to do that but he did say as of right now people as in patients and healthcare workers would be moved around in downstate facilities. As a facility down state fills up another facility downstate that has space will take on new people or transfers. I was surprised no reporter brought up moving prisoners around because that didn’t stop until this week and now at least 2 prisons have COVID-19 cases at them and it’s being traced from the downstate prisons. God I just defended Cuomo. I feel so dirty imma go shower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I was expecting a custom built gun to top $1,100-$1,200 with out the scope. I’m still not going out and building one. Just saying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

$900 I'll be honest that's less than what I was expecting but of course you still need to toss a scope on there so that's a few hundred more.

I have been out of the fly fishing game for a good long while maybe 10+ years and @Nytracker thread on fly tying has me wanting to break out my gear and get into again. Everything I own is budget friendly. I have a Cabelas rod that I used for steelhead and a 4 piece light weight travel rod that I used for trout. All my fly's where either tied by myself or by my friends that got me into the sport. Question I wonder is would I have to replace all my line because it's old and its been wrapped around a reel sitting in a case for decade? I assume it would be coiled up and would not lie flat on the water like it's suppose to but I could be completely wrong. Besides Cabelas where else can you get fly fishing gear from nowadays? On-line? I'm sure I have forgotten a ton about whats needed to be successful but that's OK.

Might have to take advantage of the current social distancing and at least break out my fly gear and check it over.

Look at the bright side. Now's a good time for a ladder stand upgrade!
