  1. Man you guys should try a couple of beers or a tall glass of whisky to help you sleep!
  2. If I hunt my normal 2 stands there is not much of a need for the range finder at all as I know where they come from most of the time and what distance they will be at in my shooting lanes. Where I hunt I always have an oppertunity to sit in a stand that I’m not as familiar with which is where the range finder will come in handy to scope out a few landmarks ahead of time. I really don’t plan on grabbing it to range a deer just before shooting it.
  3. I wash my outer layers in a sent free soap then hung outside to dry. When I get home they stay outside under the porch unless they are calling for nasty weather. That’s about all I do and I’ve had a fair amount of deer walk under me without ever noticing.
  4. I shoot all through the spring and summer. Not a lot just a few arrows here and there to stay fresh. I must say though I picked up a new compound first of July last year and was completely amazed how fast and easy it was to get it dialed in and put groups together. I still don’t like the idea of not practicing though.
  5. This topic made me go back and check to see if I packed my range finder. It’s my first year with one so I’m bound to forget it.
  6. Biz and myself are having issues with tapatalk on the newest iOS. We can view the threads but can not reply or make a new thread.
  7. Congratulations!!!!! and don't lie that's exactly where you intended to shoot all in the name of saving meat! Cant wait to connect on my first bow deer.
  8. Still an issue on Tapatalk. Get the same message.
  9. Biz i'm having the same problem after updating to the newest iOS. I would guess its a iOS issue with Tapatalk which means Tapatalk will have to come out with an update to fix the issue created by the new iOS. It might take a bit but hang in there.
  10. TF, for some reason I can't quote you but any ways yes I agree a record is a record. It does not matter who you are or what course you are playing. DJ could hold the record at Bob-O-Links for all I care. My comment was more towards him playing at a public course vs. a private course not because its a public course and he's slumming it just would think that if he came to play in Buffalo he would have a connection at one of the private country clubs that's all. Of course it could have been some sort of promotional event he was there for or his personality is that he choose a public course over private course who really knows. I personally love Ivy Ridge. Beautiful course that can be played by all skill level's and still be fun
  11. I must say I'm pretty lucky as well. My wife doesn't complain when I go out hunting she takes off her Saturdays she works during shotgun season so we don't have to worry about getting someone to watch the kids. Being that time of year there are always several family get together's and I always just meet her there whatever that time happens to be. Sometimes I am really late and sometimes I beat her there. It does help that she loves venison and not spending grocery money on any red meat.
  12. I Third that motion. how can we possible make a determination with out details.
  13. Yeah but those where all private country clubs they played on and not a public course.
  14. Last year the drought hit my apple tree pretty hard now this year all the apples are pitted with brown spots and varying shades of green (green apple tree). I want to get this tree healthy again. Is there a recommended brand of spray to use? Anything to be sprayed in the fall or is it just mostly a spring thing?
  15. You know I haven't been all that excited for hunting to start this year but after reading through this thread I can say that I would be incredibly happy if 2 things happened this year preferably both in bow season. 1. See a deer any deer while out with my daughter. She has sat at least 6 times with me without seeing a thing. 2. Take a deer while she is in the woods with me If those 2 things happened my season would be a complete success.
  16. TF you got the link for that buffalo news article handy? Some of those scores surprise me as in they are a little higher that I would expect. Like a 69 at Buffalo Tournament Club? I do not find that course to be hard at all. I'm not saying I can shoot 69 there I'm just saying I'm surprised the record is a 69. And Dustin Johnson holds the record for The Links at Ivy Ridge.... is that the same Dustin Johnson that is currently the world number one golfer?
  17. Congrats Elmo!!!! Enjoy the ride!!!
  18. Man I can't believe I'm just seeing this post now. I was up through grand Tetons,Yellowstone,Cody exactly a year ago today. In fact if memory serves me right a year ago tonight I was staying at the lodge at Old faithful. As we where driving around most everyone I was with commented that they couldn't /wouldn't ever live that far out but all I could think of was man I wish I lived out here! In fact we passed one small ranch house that was probably an hours ride to anywhere and all I could think of was I wonder how much it costs to live there and if I could afford it. Such a beautiful part of this country. I'm a bit jealous of you tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Buckmaster way to go above and beyond what just about everyone else would be willing to do! I've always been interested in farm work. I almost stopped once at the farm down the road as they where collecting hay bails to see if they needed an extra hand free of charge but I only had an hour to spare. 20. If I'm ever around the games are usually background noise. I can not sit for hours on end to watch a football game. Sunday was the game and dinner for my sister in laws birthday. I still didn't see more then 6 plays and the game was on 2 tv's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yesterday's at 32 yards I shot today as well at 36 yards but didn't have my phone to take a picture. Today was not nearly as good of a day as yesterday. Only got one good grouping together out of 6 rounds of 4 arrows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Lets see the Bills first game I was out shooting guns the entire time and they won. The second game I was not shooting guns and they lost. I think I should go out every Sunday and shoot guns. It might not help the Bills but it sure will help me.
  23. I submitted mine late November 2016 everyone was interviewed by phone July 19th -20th 2017 and I have not heard anything since then. I am also applying for full carry right away. Based on what I have heard recently I have at least another 1-2 months of waiting which would put me right around 12 months total from start to finish.
