    I tried a chat from the Tapatalk app doubt it worked being on the iPhone. Ill try direct from the website now. And yes this site is amazing. I met up with TF last year because he had some clothes and boots that his girl grew out of and again he didn’t want anything for the items.

    Holy crap now I gotta go home and shoot at 5 yards to see what happens. I fairly new to this Bow thing and assumed 5 yards would be the same as 10 yards. Thanks for posting your mis adventure as I have learned something from it.

    I really have no words for this. How does someone decide to do this. I get isis is now claiming responsibility but still how... I just don't get it. Reading the news on this for the next few days is going to be difficult at best

    I didn’t forget anything. An extra layer on top would have been nice as I was a bit cold up until 10:30 but I can complain. Oh oh wait I did forget one thing.... to let the deer out of the pen so I could hunt them!!!!

    Well I survived the skeeters but didn’t see anything. I’d call opening day uneventful but not unsuccessful because after all I was in the woods.

    The skeeters have found me and ther are relentless. I’m from head to toe in clothing but this is damn annoying. I hope I make it 2 more hours

    Back out for the evening. I couldn’t take sitting around waiting any longer. Originally I wasn’t going to hunt the evening but there was a fair amount of movement of the property so I figured the chores could wait for another day. Plus I can’t hunt next weekend at all. Its pretty warm with very little wind in 8g

    Saw my first deer of the year. Couple of tails running away at 200. It’s getting nice and warm now

    Woods are awfully loud this morning but no signs of deer. I sure wish I put the extra layer on this morning.

    If I hunt my normal 2 stands there is not much of a need for the range finder at all as I know where they come from most of the time and what distance they will be at in my shooting lanes. Where I hunt I always have an oppertunity to sit in a stand that I’m not as familiar with which is where the range finder will come in handy to scope out a few landmarks ahead of time. I really don’t plan on grabbing it to range a deer just before shooting it.

    I wash my outer layers in a sent free soap then hung outside to dry. When I get home they stay outside under the porch unless they are calling for nasty weather. That’s about all I do and I’ve had a fair amount of deer walk under me without ever noticing.

    I shoot all through the spring and summer. Not a lot just a few arrows here and there to stay fresh. I must say though I picked up a new compound first of July last year and was completely amazed how fast and easy it was to get it dialed in and put groups together. I still don’t like the idea of not practicing though.

    This topic made me go back and check to see if I packed my range finder. It’s my first year with one so I’m bound to forget it.
