  1. I just clean my drier with a cloth soaked in the scent killing laundry soap, then run a load of towels that have been washed in the scent free detergent. Once thats done, my hunting clothes are next. Works well.
  2. Hes a healthy boy. Should be a slammer in a few years if he makes it.
  3. Lol i have a couple of them. Love the Coverts.
  4. Yepper. Ive actually been busy buttoning things up around the house so Ill have more time to hunt. Your stuffer and what not is in the laundry room lol.
  5. Its a nice looking stand. The paint means nothing to the deer, check this out... http://www.qdma.com/articles/will-deer-avoid-a-hot-pink-stand
  6. Ill have to look WesternNY, I might. If hes 2, hes the smallest 2 year old to ever roam this farm lol.
  7. See 1 1/2 year olds like this by me all the time. Yep, enact ARs, 4 points on a side even. Still pointless here....
  8. I have 4 DMPs plus 2 DMAPs I can use. I probably wont plug a doe opening morning, but the afternoon I might.
  9. Ill be getting in around 6. I actually would have a bit of light so i can see any deer that might be in the field. Ill be sitting in the same stand as i did both mornings this past weekend. The deer po in and out of the corn on bith sides, and the creek bed below me is a major escape route from the swamp, where most of the guys go. I have had bucks use it every opening day I have sat there.
  10. Theres already the subs for the different regions. Not alot of people use them. Breaking things up too much would make the site too tedious to use.
  11. I guess you didnt see The Hangover, Pygmy. It was a line from that movie
  12. I didnt advocate them. Just stated a fact.
  13. Some studies have been done up north. Search them out. And BTW, just because deer live below the 38th, doesnt mean they are a completely different breed of animal. The rut triggers, while at different times, for different reasons, are going to be very similar. If you subscribe to Alsheimer's moon phase theories, his predictions for the South are very similar to the North, just at different times.
  14. Yeah I could use my shooting stick, the rail would be better though, I think. I appreciate the measurements, etc! Thanks in advance!
  15. That oak sturdy rest looks great, but its outside of my budget right now. I might have all of the materials to make the same thing out of wood though. Larry, would you be willing to take some quick length measurements on the sections for me? Maybe a picture of the section that attaches to the tree?
  16. Number of points is no concern to me any longer. My rule used to be 8 points, then it turned to close to the tips of the ears, now its all about age. Ill shoot a 3 1/2 year old half racked buck before I shoot a 10 point 2 1/2 year old.
  17. Im looking to add some shooting rails to some of my hang on sets. Anyone ever use one of these? Are they steady? It looks like there might be a problem with them being flimsy or spongy feeling. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/guide-gear-universal-padded-shooting-rail.aspx?a=674576 How about one of the longer, 3 section gear hangers? http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11885025&camp=CSE:GooglePLA:11885025:10842282:TREESTANDS/BLINDS-&gsidynamic=GooglePLA-_-TREESTANDS/BLINDS-_-TREESTANDS/BLINDS-_-SKU-10842282&MobileOptOut=1 Maybe a camera arm? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/592227/gorilla-gear-camera-arm-aluminum-black?cm_vc=subv1112616
  18. For the one hundredth time, when you have a deer that big, why sit 4 or 5 feet behind it to make it look bigger? Drives me nuts. Stop it people!!!!!
