The area I’ll be hunting butts up to the farms I used to hunt for 10 years, so I know the area very well.

Listen, right wrong or indifferent, if I catch anyone recruiting members through PMs, Ill ban that person. I dont care what anyones opinion of that is, its how things are going to be unless burmjohn asks me not to do it. We are also not going to constantly repeat the same threads bagging on this site. If you dont want to be on this site, then go away and leave things here alone. We are all adults, act as such.

Oh man, glad to hear that you seem to be ok. The older Ive gotten, the more paranoid I have become about that very thing. I havent hung a stand in years that didnt have a prussik line on it, though that isnt perfect either. I hope a little soreness is all you end up with out of it.

Its all good lol. Just stick close to the rules and theres no problem. I dont like suspending or banning folks. Id rather keep things light in here, as noone enjoys a stressful or negative air on a site.

I’ll be out on state land Saturday morning. Gonna be watching a couple of escape routes. Just got my 308 dialed in today. I have all of next week off. Gonna hunt as much as I can.

Great buck! Congrats! I’ve toyed with smaller calibers in the past but keep coming back to my 308. It just gives me the best results all around.

I don’t know any of the facts about what went down with tshirts. Honestly, that issue is between whomever it was that paid for them and burmjohn. I think you are confused, I’m just moderating the site, not defending anything that burmjohn has or hasn’t done. I barely have time to enjoy this site, let alone many others. I am barely active on 1 or 2 other forums, and that’s it. Hell, I don’t even have much time to hunt these days. You all enjoy.

The issue at hand, and why I dumped the threads, is because you don’t go on someone’s forum, and advertise your own, or try to redirect traffic there. There’s no issue with members here belonging to other forums, this is not a team or a job where you are expected to only belong to one or the other. You just aren’t going to be allowed to run this site down, same as it’s always been. This is a nonnegotiable rule as far as I’m concerned, and unless burmjohn overrules me, it will stay that way.

I’m not going to air everything out here. You know me better than that. Yes, if he doesn’t renew to domain name it will just go away. Im glad you all created another forum, I wish you nothing but good luck with it. I hope it doesn’t peter out like most of them do.

It wasn’t him, it’s me. If you all want to go on another forum, that’s fine, but you aren’t going to use this one to steer traffic to it. That’s stepping over the line. Regardless of some people’s feelings about this site, I’m going to moderate it as best I can. I’ve been frustrated by how things have gone the last couple of years too, but I’m sticking with this ship and seeing if there’s any turning it around. If not, that’s fine too, but I’m not going to act like an insolent child on my way out either.
