Based on tooth wear that's a really old doe! Weight really means nothing on some does. I've seen 2 1/2 year old does field dress at far greater weights than much older lighter weight does. Congrats to you for out smarting her

This guy just came through bumping does and did some rubs right in front of me. The does weren't interested.

Must be two flocks of turkeys on my place today. I can hear one flock where they've been roosting and another flock just flew over my head. Now I can hear some aggressive purring going on between the two flocks. Pretty cool.

There goes another buck the same way as the one I saw earlier, must be a hot doe went that way sometime today because these bucks are trotting down a driveway out in the wide open

Im pretty sure I just saw a nice one my wife saw earlier today. He went trotting by me about 100 yards away. Wouldn't slow down a bit for grunting or doe bleats.

Same as others, I wanted one. Now it's actually more practical for me because I don't hardly have any time to practice with my bow anymore and I don't have time to hunt in October. So by the time crossbow season comes around I can shoot a few times and feel confident and maybe have time to go hunting

Wife called me. There's four bucks in our backyard. Two whopper's two smaller. I'm guessing there's a hot doe close by. I'll be back out this afternoon hoping they haven't gone too far

Finally some signs of rut around here. I think a buck just ran a doe out of the corn field behind me on the neighbors. They were a little too far away to make it out real good.

Nothing here in 8F. Hunted Friday, Saturday and today. Haven't seen a buck yet. Seems like sooner or later one would show himself.

I'm in for a quick hunt this morning right behind the house. Last night right at dark I had 5 rather rotund racoons come in to eat dogwood berries along with a button buck. I figured the button wouldn't want anything to do with the coons but they all mingled around together.

Hard to see through this maple still holding all of it's leaves. I think the chainsaw is coming out in the next couple days to take care of this for the last time!

The wind is swirling all over the place here. I had a few deer get in tight to me to my north west only to wind before I could see what they all were. One was a doe for sure. Then one started blowing and that was it.

Just had a bearded hen come under my tree with a couple other hens.

Just got in my stand in 8F. I always forget that I need to do some serious trimming work in here until I get in it for the first time of the year. Oh well, I'm out in a good spot. Hopefully any decent buck walks by in one of my open lanes.

Couching it with the kids this morning. Windy and rainy so I'll wait to see if it looks better later. If not I'll be out Tuesday morning.
