    If you are using it for hunting only, get the lightest setup you can. 1. There is no recoil on a 223/556. 2. The amount of shots you will be taking are less than 5 at a time. 3. When you bring it in the woods, the extra 2 pounds makes a difference for carrying it around. 4. With the amount of good barrels around, they are a dime dozen if you are going to make if a DIY project. 5. The major investment should be in the glass going on top of it. Just my opinions.     I agree and disagree. In the beginning I didn't know what I didn't know. Now I have learned, in my contract it is the responsibility of the logger to repair roads, and also make a particular size food Plat after they finished logging or it is a no go. Additionally, they can not remove heavy equipment until i am satisfied with their results. No problems for the last 10 years.     Good deal, An additional point that helped me immensely is I figured up how much I was spending in a month. Then calculated how long it would take me to save enough money to purchase the new firearm I wanted. With that goal in mind it made it very easy to quit because I could see a light at the end of the tunnel, and it wasn't a train coming the other way.     I chewed for 20 years, then started umpiring college baseball and it is forbidden to have tobacco products on the college campuses. I went cold turkey 15 years ago, best decision I ever made.     The 22 mags worked , but the 22 hornet, I prefer for the added velocity, and little to none recoil as well. I also use the Hornady VMAX in that as well. Sent from my SM-G900T3 using Tapatalk

    Not to go off on a tangent here, but I understand them using the hemlock for protection from the weather, but if they actually started eating the hemlock that they were getting very short on food sources. Any truth to that info? Sent from my SM-G900T3 using Tapatalk

    Yes they fall with a serious thud. My wife literally had one fall 6 feet from her out of a tree 40 feet high the last "freeze" we had down here. It measured 3 1/2 feet long. Sent from my SM-G900T3 using Tapatalk
