Didn't see any ticks on the deer I got but also wasn't looking too hard, I get em skinned asap usually. But I did have one in the stand the other day. Hadn't bitten but was on my arm. Def always do a tick check after hunting Everytime.

i think its that most of us have never seen a deer with a body like that. That first pic did look odd a bit- I didnt say anything just figured it wasnt gutted yet. Most of us have just regular deer to go by - wow thats incredible. Looks like a Holstein. lol. Very cool. and awesome to be able to hunt for ones like that.

dunno bout more daylight pics but i get more bucks that i havent seen before on cams usually around Oct 25th or so.

Hunt #8 10/14, 7F lease 4:30-dark. Swamp stand. Saw and heard nothing nice night but no action.

The swamp stand on a marginal wind. Good for 2 trails but not for one. Out after work so had to pick a close spot. The weekend is too far away to wait.

we will take them as targets of oppurtunity but havent hunted for them much. Got the blond yote in earlier pic walking in to deer hunt one day and got him with crossbow at 30 yards. Was a nice blond color but i gave it to a local trapper for the hide. That night i passed a doe that was under my stand and i almost shot her cause it wouldve been something to walk out with a deer and a yote. My hunting buddy wouldve flipped. But already had 2 in the freezer.

i didnt even notice that. That is different for sure. For me he is a shooter and i will be in that stand after work tonite where this is a 31 yard shot, so maybe I can get a close up.

i shot one there a couple of years ago that was blond like that too.

I think he was a fighter and got busted up some. He def wanted a piece of that rattling.

Most of the guys out there are using fathead minnows. Some use jiggin raps too. I like a sinker with about 18" leader, floating jighead and half a worm.

was just thinking your house is 100% getting TP'd this halloween by the local kids - you monster. lol Maybe hand out "Buckle" jerky to the neighbor trick or treaters?? Kidding - this is awesome - wish i had lived this story! Was telling @FISHDO about it after hunting the other day.

the buck i regret the most not shooting was the only one i have ever rattled in. I had two does in the freezer that year and was hunting for two 9 points - one at each spot I hunt. So one day I decided to try some rattle and grunt. Immediately after i see a sapling shakin like hell in the brush. I know its a pissed off buck. He come out in a trail at about 90 yards and cuts across it. I grunt again and he comes back out and comes right to me on a string. I passed him up and shouldnt have just cause it was a great story and it was a real nice buck i was just playing cat and mouse with some others that season it seemed. I was within 50 yards of a big 9 twice that season and i was just hooked. And i am not a big buck hunter but i did pass this fella. pic of him here and a pic of the stand i was in.. But what a great hunt that day.

ive seen a few fishers over there. Even had one about 15 yards away a couple of times as they are curious. But i thought this was a grey fox too but wasnt sure. thanks

I was wondering if someone would ask about that. I can't decide if its a fisher or a grey fox.
