During the winter I like to bitch and complain about it mostly. Kinda a hobby lol. In winter work gets tough. Will be up before 4am tomorrow. Tried ice fishing and just never got into it. Have some buddies that snowmobile, same thing with that. I'm not big on the winter cold. In the winter I like to cook. Usually make a homemade soup every couple of weeks. Then work on fishing tackle for the spring. As that's my 50/50 hobby with hunting for sure.

Hunt #56- 7F lease. Light to 9:30. We didn't do push , thought maybe with storm coming they might be moving. Sat in corner stand, Corey in opener. We saw nothing. Done til next weekend and one last gun try in 7F and 6S for a day each for gun season. 8-14 inches of snow coming so def done for today. -

Hunt #55- 7F lease light - 10 am opener stand and 1:30-dark Pinetree stand. Didn't see anything. Corey and I are sitting for an hour and a half in the morn. Then doing 2 pushes and hope to get something moving before the storm comes in. -
We had one like that last season. And he turned into this . And he's been my #1 all year and haven't had a shot at him . Just a cool buck.

In CNY we call that a 4 point. But I agree in WNY brow tines shouldn't count.

I went to the federal 20 sabots for my 220 cause I could never find the Remington's it seemed. And they actually shot better. For my 12 g 1187 I shoot the Hornady SSTs and I like those.

A 3 hour sit. Got chilled thru. But made plans for a 2 man push tomorrow morn before storm.

The fields I hunt with corn look like parking lots after cutting now. The new machines leave nothing behind its amazing. Used to go and get some of the leftover corn for bird feeder at the house. Now your lucky to find a half dozen ears in a field. Sucks for hunting when they cut it.

Hunt#54- lease 7F am pine tree light -10 then took down groundblind. Afternoon 1-dark in scrapetree. Saw nothing Have zero confidence in seeing any more deer in gun season. Really still feel it's coming down to a three day weekend in muzzle on the cornfield in 6S. -
