Already got a lonnnng list of chores for deer season with cutting and some food plots. Just gonna keep it as simple as I can. We def have waterfowl there, no shortage as long as the ponds aren't froze up. This year would've been perfect.

If it is you know your area is def his home range. Good seed for this season.

Looks great but I'm hoping for dessert of trail cam pics for the win.

Right. There's even an anti windmill thread going.

Nooooo. Sailboats are stupid. I've almost been hit by them a couple of times had to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge to get away from it. I bitch about them all the time on the lake. Corey's son got a kick out of it. Who in this day and age has a motor on their boat and uses a bedsheet to move it?? It should be the last option not the first. I'm against it, pet peeve. Lol.

Over by Sylvan there was a plowtruck out there clearing out an area. I know they have some snowmobile drags out there in Feb. But def lots of ice. Full size f250 with a plow on it. Lewis pt had been stacked with shanties. I could walk out there from the house but zero interest in going out there. Freezer is well stacked with eyes and the legion has a great fish fry!

No idea where they go to, but some nice ones for sure. I was at our Cortland location all day today and had lunch over there checking out the deer. I saw both those bucks in your pics there today. There was 4 good ones in there. And they had one that was just a baby like fawn size.

Bucks at the Cortland water works all still holding antlers. ....

You gonna try to get access to the 100 behind you? then you really would have the best of both worlds. Happy wife with the house she wanted and some land access to boot. Maybe a lease even?

hmm. Good question. I would say on a NY hunting forum, CT hunts are out of state. I would also say youll prob be on the board on the CT hunting forum within 6 months if your not kicked off entirely.

Biz is gonna have to surrender his book of by laws for the NY hunting forum upon change of residency to another state. Hopefully you will be receiving those as you been the anchorman for the SENY region for years. Biz will be a tourist now, best to just rip that band-aid and move on.

I got lucky getting my new truck in 2020. Great deals out there when the country was on shutdown so i bought one. But not looking like stock is going to get better soon. https://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/us-commerce-dept-says-chips-shortage-to-persist-will-review-some-prices

Def a Lou Gehrig situation. if you can trade Jerkman for a draft pick youd be in better shape too.

Hot Hands Warmers
Robhuntandfish replied to fasteddie's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
i do that same thing and it works great. I buy the larger body warmers instead of the hand ones. Also use the toe warmers. But was thinking i can just leave this in my hand muff and use it when needed. I get the warmers every year for xmas presents and i sure use them. -
a possible part of this Ukraine issue as well. Ukriane official says this isnt all that new that Russia is intimidiating them and head of Ukraine is saying not to panic - as WE activate troops, send munitions and threaten to sanction Putin directly. If we send troops to the Ukraine border then expect Putin to send troops to Cuba and Venezuala. Things like this continue to escalate and all it takes is a push for bad things to happen and get more tense. Lets hope cooler heads prevail. We dont need a new Axis of power with a Russian/Chinese/Iranian combination. These days cyber attack is more possible than any kind of ground war. Which we certainly dont want or need and not sure this country has the backbone for it these days as they did in the 40's. i see this as being more like Crimea than Poland. But you never know.

Do you guys use skirts on your ladder stand shooting rail
Robhuntandfish replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
can get these on amazon to attach to a treestand. I am putting up a new 9ft stand this year (has to be 9ft cause there is no trees there big enough to go higher) and am looking at ways to camo it in. Hunting buddy has a stand skirt but i am also worried about it sticking out. Was thinking of cutting some branches and zip tying them around it. But also considered something like this - may have to go to the Hobby Lobby and see what i can find. lol. -
