I've had a couple of stealth brand they were ok. Lasted about 4 years. About the same as all the cheaper cams.

I only use Facebook for checking the fishing . Never "friended" anyone and never will. Most of it is just a mess I don't want either. So I'm with ya. But I do use it to look at sites for info only.

Check out the Oneida lake Diehards site on Facebook. You have to join up to see posts but lots of ice fishing info on there Small tent citys on Oneida right now. They are doing well.

Get well Kunox! Looks like he took out his frustrations on those stuffed animals.

Get some styrofoam and cut it to box off all the piping or water tank. This will insulate it more. I have also seen where people put styrofoam insulation to the inside of the skirting.

Robhuntandfish replied to Northcountryman's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Nice bunny! This would've made a great first post in a 2022 live from the woods thread.... Just sayin. Someone's gotta open it. I haven't gotten a rabbit in many years now. I usually go once a year just kinda walk about....but would be great to get one. Awesome. -
If you hadn't banked 4 deer this season I would be writing you a nasty letter!

Recommend me a fall annual
Robhuntandfish replied to Five Seasons's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I'm throwing the kitchen sink out there for plots this year. Gonna see how it goes. If I'm not happy with the results for the work and time put in, then I will just frost seed the hell out of it next year with clover and just keep the areas cut down if they get too high. One larger area this year will be radish and winter peas, one shady area will be "secret spot", and two other small spots will both get a mix of "bowstand" and "Shot Plot". Then some bags of clover in the rest of the trails for frost seeding. Which took very well last year. -

I'm adding in a plot this year and going with radish on each end and winter peas in the middle of it. Figured I would try a couple things and see what takes. -
Grits, imitation crab, creole seasoning.

Embarrassing

It seems to me both sides are using the platform of voter fraud. Both were setting it up far before the last Presidential election. Trump and Biden both spoke about it many times basically so they could use it when they lost. So if both the left and the right believe that voting is being tampered with how are we supposed to have any faith in anything they do. Isn't the whole voting system broke then? Or is it more they are just using it as a talking point against each other. Which I believe is the most likely. Is there some fraud or inpropriaty? Of course. But I find it hard to believe the folks at the local legion are in on some great conspiracy. I tend to believe more that BOTH sides are just using it as a division hot topic to get their base fired up. The same way both sides are using Covid. The system isn't the problem. The politicians on both sides have just made me sick of them both. I am far more supportive of the platform of the conservative right so I vote that way , and then not have an ounce of faith in any of them. -
it intimidates the other guys at the bass tournament.....this guy means business!

used to fish all across NY every weekend with a few buddies. But life gets in the way and people have families and commitments. And I these days just got smarter - rather than drive all over the state i live on a great lake for fishing and can be on it in 5 minutes. Planned it that way. But our core of closest friends has gotten smaller for sure with all the time we used to spend together. Everyone has Jobs that are 50+ hours a week and families. it happens. My closest friend and i still hunt and fish together all year. I also get out now with some of the folks on this site for a day or two of some fishing which is great. But for the most part i am a home body now. Hell last year i made it as far as Cayuga county! Shooting for Lewis county next year! lol I got real sick of going out to bars and raising hell quickly out of my 20's as i ended up being the peacemaker, babysitter, or bouncer, most of the time and that got old quick. Have a buddy in VA i havent visited in a long time, and should do that. But he has kids and they are all in sports and hes a coach etc... time gets more valuable the older you get. Got one close friend 10 minutes away and i havent seen him in two years, but he has 5 kids and a busy job. Most of the times i get together with friends now is on the boat. Which an early morn on the water is also easier for people to get a away for a few hours too. -
I miss those lakes..... There is like 7 of them and they all have something different. Great area. I never go anymore just fish behind the house. It's just too easy to be out in 5 minutes. Plus i sold my little row boat like an idiot. But that area may be the best spot for a fisherman in the state. Those lakes, then close to the St Lawrence and black lake. I've caught (tied) my PB best smallie and my record for most bass in a day on two of those lakes. And shhhh will keep it a secret! Lol
