Not defending Biden in the least but no one in any country has handled this well. And also not thinking anything Trump would have done would have lowered any cases. He wouldn't have done all the mandates but I also don't know what he would or could have done to stop the spread of it. It's a pandemic and elect anyone in the world and they aren't stopping natural causes. Biden is a buffoon but the answer to the virus isn't on any election ticket.

Actually you can - it's called communist China. Lol Wear a mask or be arrested. If sick stay in your home or be locked in. Its prob the reason the US is doing so bad with this virus, but what do you want to give up for it? Certainly not all of our liberties. Hopefully we never see a virus that is far deadlier than this one.

I am self shortening my deer season as I do the same thing. I just keep hunting and seeing nothing for days and days. This year I didn't hunt as much early season and stayed on the fringes of my hunting spot. But next year I'm also going to shorten on the back end and take up duck hunting on Dec 4. I will concentrate for deer late Oct - first full week of gun. Take a lot of time off then and more all day sits when I do go. I don't want the season shortened by the state and reduce opportunity for others to hunt, but I def plan to shorten my season and be out there and hunt more efficiently. First vac day I will take will start Oct 21, and take a bunch thru 3rd week of Nov. Over the years we have only ever gotten one or two bucks all preseason. But once the rut gets near we will have pics of 7-8 in the area til after the first 10 days of gun, then it's a ghost town. Our food sources are dead and gone and we can't compete with the nearby AG with our little food plots . Looking forward to a new adventure in duck hunting that sounds like a "blast". And just hoping the ponds stay open like they did this year and not freeze over. And will fish more into early October when the perch bite gets great. Planning to make the best of the most productive seasons instead of sitting in dead time for deer.

I def miss my camp. It was pretty basic of two rooms and a bathroom, and a porch. But it was a nice place to get away. Just it got so didn't go there much and it always needed work as it was very old. Made of old overlapping slabwood about 100 years ago. It got to be a bit of a burden with two places to take care of and I have better hunting and fishing right by the house. But those times of poker games and beers and hunting and fishing up there were just great.

Got a test yesterday and it was negative. Which I couldn't believe. I've had fever for 3 days, sore throat, fatigue. Took my test in Camden outside and it was -7. But they then tell me if symptoms don't go away in 24 hours or so to call my Dr and get tested again. WTH. I know and have heard from others of so many negative tests then test again and it's positive. Either way I've had something. I would prob still have worked if it wasn't for covid protocol. Haven't been out of work sick for two days in a row ever. Haven't had a cold in 3 years. But have to stay out for 72 hours fever free. I was actually hoping I had it and get it over with. Still don't believe I don't. Would a test in -7 even work? Dunno . I've got 450 hours of sick time but still hard to believe it isn't covid. I had a test scheduled for Thursday before I found this other one and think I am going to get tested again. But looking like I will be out of work this week and prob back on Tues. Went to get tested yesterday about 15 minutes away and was exhausted after. Other than that I feel fine .

Looks like something a 3rd grader made. Ridiculous

We have a brush hog for the ATV. Last year I cut it with a wheeled trimmer but the grass and weeds still build up quick. Prob not much of a way around it but had to lift and clean the tow behind tiller over and over. It's a lot of work for sure was hoping for an easier way.

I can't spray in this spot. We plan on cutting it short before dragging. If I had a harrow should I use that first or the ATV drag tiller?

I'm still thinking of getting one in the spring. The tow behind drag worked ok but had to keep stopping to lift it to get the weeds and grass out of it. It would just float after a pass or two from weed buildup. Thinking one of these would make things a lot easier.

So got in for a test today and it was negative. But at this point was actually hoping it was covid and be over it. So they took a rapid test, came out to the truck and it's -7 degrees. Then came back out in 45 minutes to tell me I am negative. But they suggest if I don't feel better in 24 hours or so to call my Dr and get tested again. Lol What the hell.... If not covid dunno what it is but haven't been out sick 2 days straight since I've worked. Guess I have to use some of my 450 hours of sick this week. And still not too sure I don't have it. But whatever. It will be 5 days since symptoms started too. But was hoping to get it over with....

If they went with traditional archery til the 15th it would prob help keep me out of the woods early season when it mostly sucks and is too warm and I am burning out my spots. But I don't see it ever happening cause it would lessen the deer take. But I would be ok with it if it did. Although I mostly like the seasons just the way they are.

Regardless of the reason the mandate is just causing further issues. Those that haven't gotten it by now just aren't going to whether any one likes it or not. And all this is doing now is causing more problems. And although I am pro vaccine I am anti mandate. We as a nation prob have higher infection rates but we also have free will and it can't be traded for an ineffective vaccine. I can't see how penalizing a choice at this time is beneficial to anyone when the vaccine doesn't stop the spread. Although I do wish more would get it and I think most of the fear of it is ridiculous, it isn't affective enough of a tool to issue a mandate.

We are already critically short staffed. Add in a vaccine mandate and it makes it worse no matter how you look at it. Either you mandate the vacc and tell people after they've worked for two years without it now and people leave which isn't an option. Or you do the testing and let's say 70 people at $40 a test is $2800 a week. Or you make them pay for it and they take a $40 a week hit and look for work elsewhere. No winning here. Esp now that the virus is a milder version and now we mandate the vaccine? And it doesn't stop the spread of it at all. Again no winning .

I would just say be sure to get something that will take 3" loads. Don't bother with the 3.5. all your killing is your shoulder.
