Not sure about Buffalo. With respect to an Elk Hunt, you should be able to get yourself a nice 5x5 or 6x6 for $5K or less. Fair-chase out west. I know Arizona is draw only. I believe Colorado has over the tag licenses. I did a quick search for you. Found a place for $5K, with near 90% success rates on Rifle Bull Elk that are 4x4 - 6x6 up to 320". http://www.ninemileguestranch.com/hunting.html Spend some time doing research. Email a bunch of outfitters. Then try to find reviews on your short-list of outfitters, talk to references, etc. Good Luck!

No need to be in treestand with the xbow. Its already cocked. You can hunt from the ground or slowly still hunt with it just like a gun.

I didnt book the hunt. I'll be in Minnesota early January, so not worth it to me to go late January.

Coyotes, Fox, Bobcat (some areas), are all open seasons right now too.

I didn't miss the deadline. I could go through an outfitter and hunt, but I haven't booked the hunt. That was my whole point. Paying $150 to have someone handle everything for you and put you in a decent spot isn't bad at all. Remember when you said "Randy Jones is a great guide to fish with, know the river very well". Did you pay the guide when you fished with him? He could have just emailed you the salmon right? Lastly, when was the last time you even shot a buck? I could be waiting years for you to get one for me.

I was told they handle the whole permit issuing stuff and they walk the woods in an attempt to push deer to the hunter. I'll give you $300 to handle getting me the proper tags, etc and then take me to a spot where I can get a shot at a buck.

You guys should require a yearly fee (I'm not joking). This would eliminate most spammers and people who come on here just to start trouble. I am a member at "Westchester Fishing Forum" and they have a $20/year fee to gain access to private boards, etc.
