  1. ....but I'm only hunting the 1st and 2nd. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. I'm in 1C for the PM. Found a nice big rub, but also a headless carcass where I figured I'd set up. I decided to climb a tree 100 yds away. Might he a complete waste of time, but I'm giving it a go anyway. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. No first hand knowledge, but if you search even just this forum you will see a couple monsters were taken in 2010 and 2012. Your mileage may vary. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. From the sounds of it, my take is that was a survivable high back hit. Unfortunately, been there done that. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. In 1c. Saw a young buck make a rub and go on his way at 70-80 yards. He passed by a blow down that I had thought about using as a ground blind. Would not have shot him anyway, but it would have got the blood pumping anyhow. GL all who are out. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

  7. Congrats! Enjoy your retirement! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. I tried the snort wheeze last year as a last resort on a buck that was tending a doe but moving slowly away from me. Got him to turn and look in my direction, but he would not commit. Might have worked better if there was brush that could have concealed a potential rival, but it was fairly open......and I probably sounded like an asthmatic cat, rather than a buck,, so there's that. 9. I won't badger Belo. I simply congratulate him on the nice 8 pt. Belo, please feel free to correct me if I got that wrong. LoL.[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

  15. I had 2 does come in and hang up due to ground scent or swirly winds, I believe. I saw what looked like a buck behind, but after about 5 minutes of these does standing still, the buck decided to exit left. After about 30 minutes, the does came in. The closest doe came to about 15 yds, but I was not going to shoot that late in the day. It was good to see deer though. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. Good luck all. I am back in the stand I hunted yesterday. Found 2 fresh scrapes, but I am guessing they are from the same little guys I saw yesterday. Wind is fickle though was NW now SSE. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  17. Saw a spike and forkie sparring today in 1C. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. Forkie, spike, fawn. The deer are getting smaller and light rain has started. Packing it in for tonight. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  19. A spike and forkie sparring about 35 yds from me. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  20. Better than leaving the bow at home.[emoji6] Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  21. I'm in 1c for the evening watch, 62 deg. Light NW wind. Only freshish sign I saw was a rub in front of another hunter's stand. I don't sit other people's stand, although it is technically allowed. I am a hoping where I set up I can intercept the buck going to the rub. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  22. What compass app do you use? I use an old fashioned magnetic compass. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. I'm back out in 1C for the evening. Temps in mid 60s. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. Saw no deer today. Oh well, maybe tomorrow Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
