So i dont have a garage and i dont have a truck. My deer hang outside every year. I do let my deer age, of course this only happens between like 35 and 38 degrees not real sure on that but its close.Hide off ageing will develop a crust on the meat, and some mold witch is said to be harmless. When mother nature cooperates it works well to tenderize the meat.Last year i had got 3 deer thanksgiving week in about 3 or 4 days. Frozen deer anyone. OH yes it can be done but your gonna have frozen fingers. By the time you get it quartered up and the backstraps and all in a cooler, you will be able to freeze water just by touching it with your fingers. But honestly once you get that far it comes apart pretty easy as long as you seperate it by muscles. They dont really freeze to each other with the tissues between them.Maybe next year i will have a garage. Doing frozen deer sucks and i usually hunt right through the end of muzzleloader season. BRRR geting cold just thinking about this process. 7 deer last year. It gets kinda tiresome after doing so much. Good luck with your frozen deer.

Let the dogs out and its still dripping here in Niagara county.Getting ready to get dressed and hit the road.Going to sit for a couple hours. My hopes are high that I see that nice 8 point.Passed on the 4 and the button buck yesterday. Good luck people.

snow camo good choice. put a battery operated LED in it then turn the lights off. then let me know what it looks like I wired mine with addressable LED lights. it uses a FM remote.

Im on the fence with the hydro dip skulls.. Here is a question . If you put LED lights in it would the print light up. or would it be dependent on the print. Cause if thats the case I think some barbed wire dip might look kinda cool.

Saw a possum hanging out way up in the crotch of a maple. All I spotted was his rear end I guess he was napping. Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk

It is tough out there but you have to stay focused. I have hunted everywhere from western ny flat land to Allegheny forest to the ADK.Got 40 years of hunting under my belt. My dad would put me on one side of the road while he and his buddies would deer hunt the other side. I was young and on my own learned to navigate through necessity. I would usually bring back some kind of small game.

maybe he hangs it on a bow limb????

here is the question. why was that guy so far in and so confused. Some people just do not have what it takes. You have to keep track of yourself.Sure trees blow down and swamps change according to the weather. But nothing moves mountain tops and the sun only goes one way.Keep an eye on the terrain and use it to navigate your way in and find your way out.If you end up in the water and your electronics get wet then what are you going to do. Learn how to navigate with a compass and land marks. And for gods sake dont just wander aimlessly. It puts other people at risk to save your stupid ass.

Live from Moms house. I just got the phone call and mom said she was leaving to go somewhere and there was a doe in the yard. and this buck that had 4 points on either side.( I know she had me at 4 point, then she said each side.) Now she has my interest perked. That doe is either near the pines or coming from the swamp behind the house. Giddy-up I think Ill be at moms in the morning. You fellas hunting in Wyoming county keep your eyes peeled their on the move. I would go now but I have a physical therapy appointment in twenty minutes. Good luck and shoot straight.

its going to be cold tomorrow and the wind looks like its going to slow down around dawn. So it looks like maybe a hand warmer day. I can only hunt until 9 as i have a chiropractor appointment at 11.And then physical therapy at 2. I bet ill be back at it after therapy. Get some.I didnt see or jump anything today. I was out for a while this morning... 9a.

back into the swamp. Wood ducks all i hear is wood ducks. They are a great warning sign when they blow out of the swamp but all they alarms were false yesterday. All I saw were ducks.Maybe today ill try a little move away from the ducks.

heart shot and break a leg slows em down.

I have only had blood puddles when I hunt with my rifle. British 303, for instance the 9 point that I took in Centerville, dead before he hit the ground. Big doe in Gowanda I caught her bedded across a ravine She jumped up at the shot and again, dead when she landed.I think what happens is with a small entry wound there is really no way for blood to get out instantly like with an arrow. The hydrostatic shock turns everything to jelly and leaves everything a mess, witch in my opinion would inhibit blood flow. remember without a direct hit to the heart or spine its really the shock that drops em on the spot and a little luck.Bullet choice has a lot to do with it, got to love the hollow points.

I love to hunt deer. i hate foolsball. haha. I couldnt see myself doing anything else. got to keep the family fed. Outsmarting deer. Hanging out in trees at 25 degrees with the wind blowing in my face, frozen toes, numb fingers.Long hard sweaty drags. Its what dreams are made of. I dream about it so I must do it.So many reasons. I grew up doing it. My dad never told me about the birds and the bees but he showed me how to shoot a bow and a gun. Thanks dad and to all the dads who do this for their kids.

Just about anything will do the job if tuned and shot with confidence. witch means range time with hunting arrows. Get three packs one for the hunt , one for the range and one pack for the times when you say well this ones shot.

i just went over my entire crossbow yesterday. I ended up using blue lock tight on the crank handle. I used the red locktight on the ram rod holders for my muzzleloader. Lost the one at the front of the gun and now the replacement worked itself loose. Be mindful of yourloose screws. hahaha

I think the nikon bolt xr needs to be tested on your favorite yardage range. depending on the speed of your bolts you will have to adjust for yardage as the reticles are not adjustable. but with Nikon spot on technology if you know your bolt speed it will make all adjustments for you and tell you what the spots should be at. just go to Nikon spot on and get busy.

For me its about the sharing of the harvest. Moog you do things your way because it makes you happy. Nothing wrong with that.Keep the faith brother.Realizing your what you were feeling was not one of your shining moments was a step on the path to goodness. Mankind does have a future.

check your screws that hold the blades. My buddy uses these and he was telling me a story last night about these. He said he got in the tree and there was a strange rattle in his gear. It turned out to be the screw was gone. Double check everything.

Wonderful. At least they never used the word “Hunter”

LOSER. I hope he looses his hunting license. He should have to pay for medical bills.
