I dont see it as a sport. Thats like saying my wife is a sportsman when she goes grocery shopping. wait until I tell her she is a sportsman.She will be so excited. For me its more like connecting with my ancestral tree. I want to be remembered as a good provider and a great hunter. Sporting is a word that has been attached to make it less bloody for those who disagree,and maybe sell more license .tennis , swimming, darts and bowling are sports. It could be a sport if the deer knew the laws the rule hunting. Shooting a deer in the head does not count as a sport to me. Its killing the deer so I can feed it to my family. So lets call each other killers.

Hang in there you know that you did the right thing Losing your best friend is really tough. Our family had spent the weekend with the vet. I had enough problems with the frame that I welded a frame very similar to a party tent frame ,4 pieces for the corners and a crown for four rafters. everything is slip fit so a little persuading hey its all like about 30 pounds. But like they say I set it and forget it . plus at that weight its staked to the ground in all four corners . I welded big ol washers on to re bar . It stood the test of time but now its getting time to take it down for the year. I hate this part ... at least its only a 100 yards to the car

About a month ago a friend of mine noticed that my house number was made of paper and stuck to my storm door. In my defense I am lazy . no just kidding i just finished painting my whole house just as October was settling in. Well we all know how important the house number was to me for the next three months. Well getting back to the subject, i figured that the quarter inch plasma cut aluminum plate my buddy made with my house number cut into it would just look fantastic with some addressable led lights. The way I see it on the 4th of july i can have my numbers fade from red to white to blue or chase the same colors right to left or whatever. Well I am going to have some extra led lights leftover, so I am going to do this next. with the leftover lights I could light up my euro mount from this year. I did a test run tonight and took a few pictures. The camera doesn't do it justice. it can be dimmed and I can set the number of lights once its all made with the remote, and yup its an RF remote so i can hide the receiver right inside the brain cavity. I think this should look pretty dam snappy when its all set. I can sit back and change it to green if it suits me, and then when i get bored with that I can do something else. the remote comes with 300 preset patterns they run on auto made that will be party mode.

You on the other hand should feel good.You helped him across a threshold in life that he would have most likely never achieved. Now he can tell story's of his manhood and his skills as a hunter and provider, how he shot the deer and tracked it, you know, drunk talk. You sir have created a legend. That should have his ass kicked in a bar some night.

OK so Leupold wants to know what my muzzle velocity is. Well dog gone it now I can give them accurate information. Super happy with this . i picked this up on ebay used . It looks like its brand new. I picked up a cymbal stand from a drum kit. the top plate needed to be tapped for 1/4 -20, but after I did that everything went together flawlessly.

I was in a hang on and it was muzzle loader season.. Now as usual I didn't have a safety harness on , and when I pulled the trigger, the kick sent my grabbing for anything solid. you see the deer were way around the other side of the tree and I had to do a little bit of leaning. so ya that was pretty scary. One of those butt puckering moments.ya know when ya couldn't even pull a needle out of your butt with a pair of pliers. Hang ons are sketchy. it took me until this year to use it again. its been about five years. this time i have some trees next to me. twelve feet no higher for that stand.
