I'm quite interested in the harvest numbers also. In talking to area hunters, harvest numbers should go up here, from last year. anyways.

Common bubba; u know your going to get this type of stuff on a chat room. Can't take it personal. I think u add a ton of valuable input to different subjects, this one included. Moderators, deny the request!

Dick's
landtracdeerhunter replied to steve863's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I'll continue to buy from Dicks. They have good deals sometimes. I don't know how much profit they obtain from weapons, but I,m sure it weighed in their decision.. -
Heading out for 1 last day. Little damp around the edges. Anyone else going out?

Fast Eddie's Fables --- 2012 Edition
landtracdeerhunter replied to fasteddie's topic in Member Hunting Journals
Eddie, enjoyed your readings. Some years are just off, I guess. That is what makes the good years, so special. I look at every year being best, if I can get out in the field and enjoy nature. You set a great example for all of us! Thank you. -
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Eddie, YOU BE NICE! LOL.

Ah, a personal attack. Another person that have not read the rules of the site. That comment wasn't for the OP, or anyone on this site for that matter, just know some people in the hunting world that it would make a difference to. Now who's assuming?

So why ask the question whether you should fill the tag out or not? Do what u think is right.

WILDGAME TRAIL CAM
landtracdeerhunter replied to josephmrtn's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
I remember the kid on the bike, the father, and the responses Eddie got. -
OK, who spiked the eggnog?

You bring up an interesting question. The law states to fill in the tag on recovery and u did find it. The question ; what is the time limit? If it was a 150" buck, bet the no answers would be different.

Ole Christmas tree ole Christmas.....
landtracdeerhunter replied to growalot's topic in General Chit Chat
Years gone by, we use to hook up the team ( tractor) to the bobsleigh ( hay wagon) and make our yearly travel back to the neighbors lot to cut a scotch pine ( with his permission, of coarse). Now mind u, our family had a little farm house. The dining room was maybe 12 x 12 where the tree would go. We'll, the spruce trees were nice size in 8 years and would fit the room quite nicely. Eventually, those trees got to be 30' high. We would top them down about 10', and bring them back to the house. Everyone knows that christmas trees settle their branches, right. We'll, a scotch pine really settles, DEVOURING most of the room. They end up looking more like a bush rather than a tree, but the smell of pine, was great. Moral, have a big enough room. -
Here's something to make you laugh this morning
landtracdeerhunter replied to Deerthug's topic in General Chit Chat
LOL. That's pretty good! -
I had a friend that was in a similar situation a few years back. Nothing good came out of it except, every time a deer runs on the neighbors property, that neighbor ends up getting the deer. It got so bad, he ended up selling the property. Don't know how the new people are doing, but I do see new posted signs every 20' or so along the road.

How to Bring In A Drumming Tom?
landtracdeerhunter replied to landtracdeerhunter's topic in Turkey Hunting
I had so completely forgot about this post. While deer hunting back in November, this year,( after turkey season, of coarse) I believed to have seen this old bird on the edge of the thicket, within 100 yds. of the action last May. He had surfaced out of an old deer trail, gobbled and almost a squitting sound, before vanishing into the under brush. It was almost like he turkey gestured to me, LOL. This gives me, so something to aim for May 1st. I say he's old, as his appearance shows it. -
Boy it's warm for 12-16. Can't believe this weather. Mosquito's anyone?

Grow, you didn't go green, LOL. Thought maybe a "smart car?" Seen one with a deer thrown over the top of it. Funniest looking thing. Deer from front to back. Don't know how the driver could see out the windshield. Booting right along, and proud as a pistol. Your car looks good, smart choice. Can aford to throw some unleaded in it for the $, u bought it for. Some good deals on these bigger cars, rather then throwing $50 thousand out on one of them hybrids.

Ok, would make a nice conversation piece. But isn't there some superstitious belief in taking one?
