  1. This site is classified as "social media". populated with many firearm owners. A word of caution now is that law enforcement and employers take a special interest in the "thoughts" a person is placing into words on "social media". I have seen some "inappropriate" remarks on some posts to put it mildly.
  2. What is very sad and totally unacceptable is Governor Cuomo's failure to improve school security. Maybe he has no clue what school security really is. I hope he reads my recent topic I posted. More “Gun Control” is best explained with the true statement that “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results”.
  3. Then: · On December 14, 2012, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred in Newtown, Connecticut. · On January 15, 2013, the New York State SAFE Act was passed into law. · So some 32 days after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Governor Andrew Cuomo had his SAFE Act passed in response to Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. · Result was more useless gun control enacted and school safety has NOT improved. The SAFE Act, like the majority of gun control legislation has been proven to have made little effect, if any on gun violence. Now: · On February 14, 2018, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting occurred in Parkland, Florida. · On March 14, 2018, Governor Cuomo lies on the ground to played dead in a gun violence protest. · So some 33 days after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting all Governor Cuomo has done is play dead at a protest. · Result was Governor Cuomo has NOT made schools safer. Does anyone believe Governor Cuomo will order the following “sensible” (that is the word feel good word the gun control addicts use to trick gun owners to believe gun control works) school security actions: · Assign an armed officer at every school? · Have all school entry points hardened to prevent un authorized entry? · Allow legally qualified and properly trained school staff members to carry concealed weapons? · Hardened access to areas where large numbers of student congregate like bus pick-up/drop off locations to prevent a killer from driving a vehicle as a weapon to run students down? · Issue to all school staff a quick communication device like a medical alert that is hooked in to the school guard AND local law enforcement if they see or encounter an armed intruder? Personally I believe Governor Cuomo is working on SAFE Act II and NOT on school security. End result, nothing changes to keep our children safer. More “Gun Control” is best explained with the true statement that “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results”.
  4. I remember as a teenager being able to purchase ammo without my Mommy or Daddy at hardware stores and gun shops. All my friends in my hood had guns for one reason only, HUNTING. I guess some would call us a gang that did not murder, rape, commit robbery, sell dope or use dope. I do not remember seeing any of those silly GUN FREE ZONE signs to pollute my intellect!
  5. I agree. IF it remains peaceful and honest. The only problem is teaching youth that GUN CONTROL eradicates GUN VIOLENCE is a lie. It further feeds the ignorance while more will die from gun violence. Yes, gun violence is a problem, but teach youth real solutions, not useless gun control. i was at the SAFE Act rally. police kept telling us to keep off the side walk. Strange because across the street standing on the side walk were gun control supporters with their signs. AND the police let them stand on the side walk. Did Cuomo order the police to have different rules for us?
  6. Excellent question Rob. I want people that want to keep their firearms and be able to carry them for self defense to speak, write to the newspapers and their politicians gun control is not the answer. Tell them that gun control does not work because it does not attack the root causes of gun violence. I want to be clear as all of us should understand that GUN CONTROL is not GUN VIOLENCE CONTROL. Gun control addicts are sick people. Once I wrote Schumer with some real solutions to gun violence and six months later he sends me a letter thanking me for supporting animal rights! Very sad a politicians acts like an idiot. Another time some gun control professor was on the radio. i listened and took notes of his BRAVO SIERRA facts. I called in and was given the opportunity to rip his lies apart. He was livid and started loosing control. He lost it because the truth unveiled his lies. He became sarcastic, but I did not play into this liars hands. I just "oh yeah ed" him which further set him off. Everyone wants safer schools. Given the choice what would work best, A or B? A. - Raise the age to buy long guns to 21 and ban "military looking rifles' (sorry, i lived with an M16A1 and I would not insult my fully auto commie killer). B. - Trained armed guards (we have them for banks, military base entries, for Gov Cuomo and lots of other places so why not for school children?) at schools, better trained response from law enforcement if a shooter enters onto or into school property and harden access points into school to prevent an unauthorized breech. I listed above in my opening comment many real solutions to fighting gun violence. My buddy was a street cop with NYPD. He told me that 2 out of 3 murders were linked to illegal drugs. I believe him, NOT liars like Cuomo, Schumer and all the other gun control addicts.. The NRA is an organization that has been lied about and distorted by the media and gun control addicts. The NRA was founded in 1871 to help the US government by training men in marksmanship training to be ready to defend the USA. The NRA went more gun lobby back in the 1960's because of the rise in stupid gun control. Look at old Mechanic Illustrated magazine in the 1950's. You could buy old military surplus rifles through the mail! But gun control took life due to the rise in civil disobedience and increased illegal drug use. The sad thing about the NRA is so many gun owners refuse and even disagree with NRA, but cannot name who supports their Second Amendment rights. Imagine if the estimated 80 million gun owners and the millions of more of their family and friends spoke with one voice, WE WANT A REAL WAR ON GUN VIOLENCE.
  7. https://networkforpubliceducation.org/national-day-action/ AGAIN, their answer is more gun control. Read what they support, it is full of more useless gun control. I read nothing about: · Armed school security. · Hardening access points into schools. · Creating real reform schools for bullies and violent students to separate them from students who want to be civilized and get an education. · A real war on illegal drugs since yes, the root cause of the majority of gun violence is caused by the distribution, sale and use and use of illegal drugs. · Keeping violent criminals in jail for life. Look up “William Spengler”, Cuomo’s SAFE Act poster boy. · Fixing the failed welfare system that has enabled fatherless families where the children are at a higher risk of becoming criminals or victims of crime. And this is an organization of “educators”? How did they miss all those solutions to gun violence listed above? More “Gun Control” is best explained with the true statement that “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results”.
  8. Gun violence protests always have the same one message..MORE GUN CONTROL. Sad how these gun control supporters are unable or unwilling to address the root causes of gun violence. Are these people so ignorant they cannot read crime reports and criminology journals to accept that the distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs, and the failed mental health system are the usual common denominators when gun violence occurs. Sad how Como and these students actions will do nothing to stop gun violence. If Cuomo was smart enough he would order armed guards at all schools with hardened access to prevent unauthorized entry, a real war on dope dealers and institutionalize the violently mentally ill.
  9. Gun control took on life in the 1960's. The rise in the use of illegal drugs, civil disobedience and the selfish if it feels good just do it. Some from the 60's are the parents and grandparents of those who have gone off the cliff. Today's youth eats Tide pods, walk into traffic reading their I phones and believe gun control will fix gun violence. Is it any wonder that the majority of today's youth with the exception of those with legitimate medical conditions are unqualified for military service?
  10. https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/11/us/national-school-walkout-march-14/index.html All I need to know is that I will avoid schools at 10:00 AM to avoid traffic problems.
  11. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/schools-brace-massive-student-walkouts-gun-violence-53665893 Sad how they lack real depth in their thinking that the problem is just guns. The major root causes of gun violence are the distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs, and the failed mental health system. When was the last time the students had a walk out calling for more illegal drug control? When was the last time the students had a walk out calling for fixing the failed mental health system? More “Gun Control” is best explained with the true statement that “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results”.
  12. Interesting because Obama said the same thing about wearing an American flag pin while he was campaigning. Obama probably did not want to offend his know terrorist friend Bill "The Weathermen" Ayers whose organization murdered two college professors. the same Obama who went around apologizing for America to our enemies. The same Obama who colluded with Vladimir Putin who whispered to him to wait until after the election! The same Obama who never ordered a retaliatory strike against those who murdered four Americans including a US ambassador and destroyed the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. And they call the National Rifle Association a terrorist organization? More proof how serious the mental illness problem is in America.
  13. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/school-shooting-calls-released-gun-bill-governors-desk-53627118 The article states “Nevertheless, the bill raises the minimum age to buy rifles from 18 to 21”. So what is the actual age of “firearm maturity”? Will they raise the age of enlistment in the Armed Forces to 21 years of age to ensure the military only have those who have achieved “firearm maturity”? I hope it never happens again, but what age will the politicians raise the age of “firearm maturity” if another violent sociopath commits murder? “Gun Control” is best explained with the true statement that “Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results”.
  14. I sum it up with one phrase...they have no shame. They could careless if they act like idiots, are rude, are selfish, are self centered and "think" they are so tough they can take anyone in a fight. They have no shame for they way they act. Gun control took on a real life with many supporters in the late 1960's. Why? Look at all the civil disobedience, the rise of many using narcotics and many living irresponsibly. The 1968 gun control act was a joke. Before that, as someone under 18 years old, all I had to show was a hunting license at gun shops and hardware stores to buy ONLY .22 rim fire cartridges and shot shells with bird shot.
  15. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-bc-ny-xgr--safe-schools-commission-20180301-story.html Will Governor Cuomo act as fast at working to keep our children in school safer with the same speed he did with ramming the worthless and proven ineffective SAFE Act down on New Yorkers? Probably not, Cuomo and his followers will come up with more gun control, because the gun control advocates motto is: "Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results"
  16. Please get this information out to your rod & gun clubs, family and friends. Dick's statement is ONLY focused on MORE gun control, NOT solving the gun violence problem. Personally Dick's can keep mailing me at their expense their advertisements. Just another piece of paper for the recycle bin!
  17. Culvercreek thanks for the info on Dick's. I am done with them. Notice that Dick's position on reducing or eliminating gun violence is MORE gun control. There no mention of advocating to attack the two major root causes of gun violence that are: 1. The distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs. Does Dick's support dope dealing and dope addicts? where is there call for harsh penalties and execution of dope dealers? Where is there plan to have REAL rehabilitation programs for dope addicts? 2. The failed mental health system. Does Dick's support the violently mentally ill to remain loose in public? Where is Dick's plan to institutionalize the violently mentally ill before they harm someone? Gun control advocates need to see the wisdom in the quote: Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results.
  18. Sorry that you forgot on page 10 you called me a "loser". BUT I do not care since "inappropriate" remarks are meaningless to me and saddens me that we could not have an intelligent conversation to help solve problems. Again, I started with the word "If" when I stated "If a teacher is armed they must be trained, capable of knowing enough hand to hand combat to repel some violent student from taking their weapon from them, AND most importantly they must be able to aim at and kill an armed assailant without hesitation." I never advocated that all teachers carry a hand gun, only those qualified (background checked and trained) and willing to use deadly force. Using deadly force is a very dark side of any civilized human because having been in combat you have no time to think about preserving your' life and your soldiers lives, you just do it. A teacher would have to do the same . They would have to switch from being a peaceful loving teacher and mentor to children, to going full tactical on a murderous shooter with as my BCT manual states an "Aim To Kill" mentality. That deputy was a coward. When the lives of those you are given responsibility over are in danger you don't think, you go into action. Papist is my friend. So please be nice to him. He is a very intelligent fellow who provides a wealth of information.
  19. this is why we need guards and not armed teachers. What kind of people do you think become teachers? not many like us. My mom was a teacher her whole life, married to a man and had a son that owned and used firearms. Not her thing, and you don't want her with a gun. You think you get target panic deer hunting? Imagine being a teacher in a mass shooting event? F*ck the cop outside even hid and that mother f'r was trained! You call me a "loser"? How sad. Next time take time to completely read the post. If you did you would have read the "If" in the statement "If a teacher is armed they must be trained, capable of knowing enough hand to hand combat to repel some violent student from taking their weapon from them, AND most importantly they must be able to aim at and kill an armed assailant without hesitation. " Your's and your friends juvenile remarks are so sad. You and your friends should try contributing something intelligent to the conversation.
  20. I hoping to hear some intelligent responses. Sadly none so far, but I know some members are more interested in contributing to intelligent conversation as opposed to stupid remarks like: “I am not sure if you were dropped on your head a few times as a baby, ate lead paint as a kid, or are the outcome of a prized mule who accidentally got bred with a basic farm ass.” Talk about unstable minds, how sad.
  21. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/gun-protests-walkouts-florida-school-shooting_us_5a8daa96e4b0273053a6fd20 Sad how these young people are so misinformed and mislead. Gun violence is a real tragedy, but how come these young people are not protesting the following real root causes of gun violence: · The distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs. Why are they not protesting the violence of drug dealing? Why are they not protesting the drug dealers who prey upon the mentally ill drug addicts who kill and ruin lives? Why are they not protesting the failed drug addict rehabilitation programs? · The violently mentally ill are allowed to remain free in public. Why are they not protesting the failed mental health system? Why are they not protesting for more institutions to hold the mentally ill until they are cured? So do these young people really want to fix the problem? Do they want to grow up like all the other gun control advocates who are unwilling or unable to accept the true root causes of gun violence?
  22. The National Rifle Association should be more vocal about the following two major causes of gun violence: · The distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs. · The violently mentally ill who are allowed to remain free in public. Neither of the real causes of firearm violence are caused by AR’s, hand guns or any other type of firearm.
  23. You do not have to be 21 years old to learn how to operate and shoot REAL assault firearms in the military. So will they raise the age of "firearm maturity" to join the military to 21 years old? Please take it from someone who has been there been there done that the ant-gun advocates lie that "young men and women are supervised in the military when they are armed" is incorrect. My reaction and response such a dumb statement is HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
