If the Boy Scout program is better than the Girl Scout program, then why have not the leaders of Girl Scouts copied the Boy Scout program? Anyone has been involved with children, which includes teenagers under the age of 18 knows the importance of youth protection. They also know the importance of having sufficient trained and responsible adult leaders available at all functions. Without proper supervision the potential for problems increases greatly. Adding teenage boys and girls together in tents and out in the woods creates a serious problem IF there are not sufficient trained and responsible adult leaders available. I would expect that the camp outs will involve guard duty all night to check for accountability. Sneaking into tents at midnight or slipping out to the dark woods will certainly create a monumental problem for those “chaperons”.

It took Cuomo and his anti-gun cronies about 30 days after the murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School to pass the useless SAFE Act. The SAFE Act has not made a difference except make law abiding gun owners criminals, create useless laws and waste tax payer money with all the re=certification of pistol permits. Since the Parkland High School murders all Cuomo has done is play dead in the street and give violent criminals the right to vote. Cuomo cares more about violent criminals. Cuomo useless as usual. The other day I received the newsletter from the school district I live in. Read it front to back and back to front. Talked about how great the students are doing and of course they need to raise taxes. The was nothing about: · New school security measures to protect students from a gunman or a vehicle traveling down the side walk to run students down. · Who to call if you hear a student talking irrationally in a suicidal way. Appears the schools administrators are like Cuomo, they do not care about school safety from killers with guns and motor vehicles. Looks like no one cares except to legislate more useless gun control laws. Nothing changes.

I would like to see all the public servants exposed who have been stymieing action to go after the root causes of gun violence like the distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs; the failed welfare system that has encouraged fatherless families; the failed mental health system that is not institutionalizing violent mentally ill people; the failed security measures at soft targets like schools, hospital, etc.; the failed public education system that does not deal harshly with those who disrupt those children who want to learn; lack of support for local ;law enforcement to bolster their ranks to keep control over the criminals; and attacking gangs to make future members not want to join. You never hear those against gun violence address the above issues, they only cry for more gun control, parade around with signs bearing ignorant slogans and most of all blame the NRA. Last year and the years before that the NRA kill no one, but the drug dealers have killed thousands yet that fact is kept silent.

And to think the people making these decisions are highly educated (I did NOT say intelligent) and they have control over the education of Americas youth.

Apparently Barron loves murders and hates law abiding gun owners. Does Barron find no problem with criminals using guns to harm others, but want law abiding citizens rights restricted and prohibited? Observations made from watching the "March For Our Lives" in Washington: A youth interviewed and asked "what do you want done?" Youth answers with two requests NONE of which attack the real root causes of gun violence, it was just MORE gun control: #1 - "Raise the age to purchase a firearm to 21 years old". My question to him is how does the age limit apply to some 16 year old gang banger using the "community gun" to kill another dope dealer who enters his "hood"? How does it stop some punk thug teenager from breaking into a gun shop or home to steal firearms for violence? #2 - "Ban "assault" (I guess those are the military "looking" rifles.) weapons." My question is do you know what a real assault rifle is? Do you realize that an "assault" rifle is a semi-automatic rifle like many "traditional" hunting and target rifles? I saw plenty of signs being carried blaming the NRA for murder, but no signs with the names of those who ACTUALLY committed the murders. So the NRA who killed nobody is demonized on the signs they carry, but the killers are NOT demonized? It is so sad that these young people who want to be the leaders of tomorrow are unable or unwilling to understand the root causes of gun violence. More of their generation is being killed by illegal drugs, but they do not protest tor a real war on drugs and carry signs blaming dope dealers for killing so many youth. so dope is OK, but guns are bad? Just a few talking points: Many gun laws do not prevent gun violence. The SAFE Act is a great example of useless legislation. People who are not allowed by law to purchase a firearm have tried and were refused at the background check. Where are all the arrests of these people? I understand they just get to walk away. I see the gun control media calling "assault weapons" now "military style weapons". No they are NOT military style, they are military "looking" rifles. Has anyone seen a documentary comparing today's youth with that of 50 years ago when did not have all these school shootings? Might enlighten allot of people not severely brainwashed by the gun control advocacy. Then again it would embarrass allot of people who have contributed and supported the degeneration of today youth with the majority of them unqualified for military service. Would be nice if Cuomo, the protesting students for more gun control and all the gun control supporters would finally understand that having armed guards in schools really work.
