    My last deer had two of them and found out that it is cutaneous fibrosis. My processor told me he sees them all of the time

    Had a friend of mine who was not happy with an established processor in the area, very possibly your old place I believe. Where/how does he find you?

    My Dad has a FFL, he is out of the country for a few weeks but when he gets back I'll ask him a range etc if you'd like.

    No shock there, the iron sights on those are amazing! I do have glass on mine but would be comfortable without it if it was not already mounted.

    I have one that I got from my grandfather from that time period. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Even outside of the sentimental value, I love that gun!

    Rocky "Brute" w/2000gm of insulation along with socks and toe warmers have kept me warm in the stand all day so far.

    I was telling my wife this story last night and she too was wondering if he knew her etc. too many things here do not make sense.

    I think he may have been trying to cover up his stupidity. 200 yards with a pistol?? I don't think so. If that news report was correct I think the authorities will pull apart his story really fast.

    No excuse to be hunting this time of year at 5:30, period. That rule is in place to help ensure the safety of all of us. I just read about this story from a different news source and claims that he saw what he thought was a deer 200 yards away and shot from a high powered pistol. Very possible there may be some different reporting from different news agencies, but come on! This information has to be passed on to current and future hunters, anything less will be a further insult to her family.

    Northern NY on the Canadian Border, may not be cold enough this weekend, but carcass will have to be stored outside and can definitely happen later on before the season ends. I should have mentioned I was planning for the future.
