    If I new they tasted like lobster or a sirloin steak . And they where not endangered and legal to hunt. Guess what I'm firing up the old harpoon gun like Capt ahab .

    Kayaking down in Florida and saw a manatee almost under my boat . This one is easily over 1000 pounds . So would you hunt that if it was legal ?

    Used it about 5 or 6 times before I gave it away to my cousin he seemed to like it . I like my popup blind for portability .

    That's just one design not exactly what I made 20 years ago here is another. There have been at least 4 companies that made versions of those over the years and countless DIY versions hunters made as well , not a new idea .

    straps cushions and ropes only difference maybe got stronger same concept have to.find it but before the tree saddle, was another company that made those it went bankrupt I think .

    I made one of those things about 20 years ago didn't like it then and now that I'm older wouldn't like it now . If it was so great, 40 years ago when hunting was more popular then it is now, more people would have used them . That being said if you absolutely need the lightest way to hunt from a tree for what ever reason and don't mind having obstructions in front of you such as a tree and ropes . Then have at it . Everyone is different what you like is not necessary what someone else likes .

    A lot of guys that hunt places like that are gardeners since the owners already know them had a friend use to do that shot some of the biggest bucks in Westchester all because he had access from working as a gardener in areas off limits to everyone else . Strange way to hunt between houses not my thing .

    Most important is having a good game eye deer will freeze lots of times before they run you have to train your eyes to pick them out from the background. Or you will not even notice they are near you until it's to late .

    That is awesome and in a state with 4 people says was shot in Oklahoma Most be one of those mule deer hybrids or a four seasons special. I'm green with envy

    I have hunting books from the 1980s with mention of the tree saddle idea they been around a long time and there is a reason they never got popular. It's not really the most ideal or comfortable way to hunt . You have a tree and ropes in your face don't think that's going to be uncomfortable after a few hours and get in the way . Many people buy those use it once or twice and never use it again . Its definitely not for everyone.
