Appreciate Hospital Workers is everyone that works in that space (Administration, Maintenance, Food Services, etc), not just Healthcare Professionals (Doctors/Pharmacists/Nurses). I'd be more interested in knowing % of Healthcare Professionals vaccinated. Teachers to me are no barometer.

Not fast enough for me, I would make a sonic boom. One thing I always said I would do too with a lottery exit is to take out a full page ad in the NY Times and make it very clear that my leaving was based solely on NY taxes and policies NOT the weather like our Gov loves to claim.

This Is What Your NRA Thinks Of NYS
DoubleDose replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
To both of you, we don't win anyone over Left or Right with personal attacks. Objectivity, reason, logic, and respectful dialogue is what it takes to gain converts. I've converted pro-gun control acquaintances & anti-hunters to pro-2A & hunting opinion by the latter and never the former. -
Since they are in the medical industry they are more at risk to contract COVID. The vaccine does not cause COVID as it does not inject the virus. The vaccines only achieve ~70% effectiveness after 3-4 weeks. Three days post vaccination would not confer any immunity. It's more likely to be COVID or something else unrelated to the vaccine, but possibly some severe reaction to the vaccine. I am certain CDC, and the vaccine manufacturer will want to know the full details about these cases to know for sure.

What about Oliver North? He resigned over the LaPierre BS. How is he invalidated or disgruntled? Appreciate, I agree we need the NRA, and am not anti-NRA, but we need it as strong and uncorrupted as possible. -

Perhaps the NRA should create a social media platform for 2A advocates; particularly since this is where the youth/future get much of their information. -

IMO, this is classic government BS and an individual doing something for personal political gain/notoriety. NYS is suing NYC and all NYers lose. Time and money spent and wasted. If the NYPD acted with "illegal and harmful conduct" let the ACLU sue them. AND/OR is this really just Andy trying to get more NYC money into the state coffer!

Grouse, I cannot disagree with the above. However, are the NRA (board) asking themselves why only less than 5% (using your numbers) of gun owners belong? What are they doing about it? Is the NRA losing or gaining membership (I suspect losing)? You know the public education system is anti-2A and teaches that the NRA is evil and wrong about the 2A. What is the plan for dealing with that? I feel that all they do is preach to the choir (members). How are they going to get all these young gun enthusiasts to want to join? -
Play in the stock/action fit will absolutely negatively affect how well it shoots and may very well be the cause of your accuracy/grouping issue. Since this is straight out of the box, I would suggest returning to where purchased or Remington. It may very well be a defective stock (or bedding) that needs replacing. Shortening the bolt may not be the best solution if the stock fit is defective. However, as Airdale above commented, can't diagnose the problem without seeing it, only speculate.

Whenever I ask young gun owners if they belong to the NRA, the response is always no. After discussing why with them, I have come to understand that the younger generation of gun enthusiasts feels the same way about the NRA as they do the Federal government. A bunch of corrupt old folks stealing, cheating, and lieing. In fact, they cannot understand why anyone still belongs since gun rights have done nothing but erode over time. -
What changed? Is this a new stock? Did you rebed the action? Are you using new screws? Did you mix up the existing screws?

Remington Coming Back To Life In Ilion Ny
DoubleDose replied to SportsmanNH's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I hope this is successful BUT they key lies here: “Our hopes are to consolidate in Ilion and go back to an 800-employee facility. That number is highly contingent on our negotiations with the county and the state of New York, and, of course, the union.” -

Agree, America needs to prevail. Food for thought on this. America goes around the world promoting democracy; the idea and virtues of it. However, our recent history (D&R terms) are example of the worst of it. What lesser country in the world would want to adopt democracy when they witness the ridiculous political theatrics and corruption our politicians shamelessly engage in? Other countries look to America as a model for prosperity, but not an honest or efficient government. While other forms of government are also not honest, they are more efficient because they put country first, not political party. -

A work colleague sent me a link to the Italian "document" proof. It appeared to be a cellphone photo of a piece of paper, partially in English and partially in Italian, with no letterhead, no notarization, and a single signature of unknown authenticity. Any child today using their skills with Word could create a more realistic looking official document. -

This is great (SARCASTIC) logic: Biden should not calm down the masses because Trump didn't. Basically, Biden should be and do....like Trump! Trump's political career is over, he does not have enough supporters to ever win another election. No one should get a pass. If he incited the Capitol incident that is a crime for the legal system, not vindictive politics. He still gets legal due process no matter how much he is hated. OMG, a bunch of UNARMED disorganized flag and Viking hat wearing sycophants attack the Capitol with no plan and no terms/demands; and you think "you could not get a whole lot closer to overthrowing the government"! Laughable ridiculous hyperbole. They were stopped without needing to call in the military and only ONE shot fired. Without Twitter Trump would have been Trump on a different social media platform. For the record, I am not defending Trump's behavior and actions. -
I watched the video objectively and offer the following possible interpretation/explanation: 1) First man is DJT supporter (not ANTIFA), he clearly is a leader/agitator. The changing cloths definitely is so that he is not identified. That could be simply to elude law enforcement. LE will want to quickly arrest and remove the leaders/agitators to defuse. 2) Second man I cannot tell for sure if he is the same between images. He declares the woman dead, so what, she did ultimately die. He may not be DJT or ANTIFA and just some ??? who wants media attention like he is important. 3) Third man, he's just saying what he believes at that moment happened, and it is a fair description. 4) The tactics explanation is indisputable. For others that quickly responded, appreciate I addressed the posted video. I did not bring up other incidents from the "other side". That tactic is called non-response and deflection. That tactic only weakens your argument/position. If you want to win a debate or convince people of your position you do it with reason and objectivity not deflection.

For the sake of this country, let's acknowledge both sides have done wrong in the past and put this behind us. It serves no purpose to keep bringing it up. We need to work toward a better future. Let's stop the future BS, like calls for McCarthyism blacklisting of Trump administration personnel and impeaching him after he leaves office. Vindictiveness and revenge is wrong. -

Like with ANY shortage it is a sellers market. I have also heard of some used guns also selling for ridiculous prices. Like 4 times the price of new. Some people can't or won't wait for the market to correct; or fear it never will.
