Concealed Carry in Onondaga County
CapDistPatriot replied to boo711's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
You are super lucky then. I gave up after my first two attempts, my judge was actually a Republican, was chief counsel to George Pataki as a matter of fact. Culver Creek is spot on, it is a bunch of ridiculous BS that you had to go through all that -
Concealed Carry in Onondaga County
CapDistPatriot replied to boo711's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
This is absolutely true. I live in Albany County, the judges here will never give you unrestricted unless you are connected to a Democrat politician. I know, I have tried. I processed a transaction at work with the judge that handles all permits in Schenectady County, really reasonable and good man. After I aired my grievances he shook his head in disgust and told me since i have worked full time in his county for over 1 year, i could transfer my permit to his county. I would have restrictions at first, but after 6 months i could take an advanced conceal carry course and as long as i was squeaky clean and not a scumbag he would remove them. The instructor i recently took my course with said he had a 100% success rate with Schenectady County. -
I keep it to listen to Andrew Wilkow on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125. I have almost completely stopped listening to Rush. Andrew Wilkow is hillarious he is on 12pm-3pm same time as Rush, he is so good i cannot justify changing the channel when he is on. I take my lunch in the truck almost every day just to listen in for an hour

Rabid raccoon bites youth turkey hunter
CapDistPatriot replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
Good post Odysseus. Rabid animals have been spotted in alarming frequency recently out here in eastern NY, we should all be cautious out there. https://www.wamc.org/post/columbia-county-sees-increase-number-rabid-animals -
I agree. I will be doing the same thing in a couple years when my daughter is old enough to start hunting.

Go to Mass DEC website. Purchase Non-Resident Squirrel hunting license for $20.00. Print out license. Go to Wal Mart and purchase NYS Hunting Licenses.

Most Accurate 7mm-08 Factory Ammo
CapDistPatriot replied to moog5050's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
FWIW I have owned and hunted with the 7mm 08 for over 10 years, it likes just about everything I run through it from Remington green box to Federal Fusion. I use 140 grain just for the stopping power, the recoil from this caliber is negligible to me. This past two seasons I have been running Hornady SST in 139 grain, and my shot groups have tightened by almost a quarter inch and the deer I shot from 60 yards was dead in under 30 yards, despite the less than perfect shot placement on my part. It is mostly personal preference, but if you have the extra stew to pony up Hornady is probably the most consistent and well made factory ammo IMHO. If I am going after deer, SST's are perfect. Larger game where you need a more solid bullet construct, like for bear or Caribou, they make a GMX class of bullet just for bigger game. Hope this helps. -
Wow that is a handsome bird bro!

No he did not as far as I know. Albany county judges dont even want to issue a premises permit, so when they get the chance to revoke a permit they jump all over it. I am so glad I was able to move my permit to Schenectady.

Under the SAFE ACT, if a doctor ever prescribes you anti-depressants they have to fill out a form and turn it in to the State Police so you will be red flagged if you ever try to buy a gun in NYS ever again for the rest of your life. If a vet comes home and goes to the VA to treat his PTSD, he has just effectively forfeited his 2A right in NYS for the rest of his life. Stuff is draconian and sick.

It was about a quarter ounce. Pulled over for tail light, NYSI expired previous month and one thing led to another and he had a laundry list of tickets. Nothing big enough to arrest. He said when he was asked to exit vehicle officer took his wallet and that is probably how he knew to inform judge about the encounter. After he appeared and paid the fines, he got informed his permit was pulled. Good guy, too. Wasnt toking and driving. Just forgot to get his car inspected and didnt know he had a taillight out. Could happen to anyone of us. I would imagine if he wasnt in possesion of the reefer the judge would have never heard of the incident.

I have seen guys with possession tickets lose their pistol permit and all handguns yes.

No, the ruling and associated AMICUS brief said just the restriction alone is unconstitutional, beacause 10+ round mags are so common. No getting around that. I wanna see how it effects the semi auto bans like the SAFE ACT, since it bans the AR, which is one of the most popular, if not the most popular sporting rifle in the country...

This just came down last night. Cali has basically the same mag ban we do, federal judge ruled it violates Heller. Only a matter of time before our law is changed, sooner rather than later! https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/03/29/fed-judge-california-high-capacity-magazine-ban-unconstitutional

I couldn't even watch the video. Just pisses me off that A.) Some "people" do think this is acceptable behavior, and B.) The humane society feels the need to smear all who partake in our great sport by releasing the video. I mean, they didn't just get this from a leak, they actually took the time to file a FOIA request. I have some sympathy for someone who poaches a deer here and there because he cannot afford food from the grocery store (out where I grew up it was quite common) and needs to feed his family, but these @$$holes are just killing for sport. Complete disrespect for the lives of the creatures God created for us. https://www.ktuu.com/content/news/Video-of-Alaska-father-and-son-illegally-killing-bear-shrieking-cubs-made-public-507736061.html

Cost wise it is the right call, practicality-wise it is the wise call. All i can think about when I think about 20s is my partner stuck in the parking area of our lease spinning the wheels of his $60,000 Silverado LTZ and me in my 9 year old honda driving off down the driveway LOL

Thank you sir

Just picked up this bad boy Saturday. Big upgrade from my 9 yr old Accord Crosstour, should make maintaining and hunting the land lease easier. Never owned a truck, new uncharted territory for me.

where to hunt coyotes around Albany area
CapDistPatriot replied to Shawn1878's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Try Dutton Ridge State Forest. Last time I was there about 2 years ago, they were all over there. I hear the adjacent state park is pretty good as well. -
The 5.0L is a savage beast. I am actually picking up my new F-150 on Saturday with the same motor. The new updates give it 395hp and 400lb ft torque. Good find, OP you should be giddy like a school girl over that truck!

No "happy ending" for Pat's owner Kraft
CapDistPatriot replied to Jdubs's topic in General Chit Chat
The mug shots are online. The Chinawoman who serviced Kraft's unit was mid to late 40's (she claims to be 36, i call BS) and looks like a chinese version of Klobuchar -

A few thoughts. Anything that will bring down the evil empire that is the Patricheats is good for me, you, and all sports fans. Yes, even patricheat fans, as they are mostly bandwagon fans in denial and the sooner they realize their plight, the sooner they can go on to other ventures, such as whale watching, yoga, exotic wine tours with their hedge fund manager boyfriends, etc. Take the Patricheat angle out for a second. What we have here is a 77 yr old man that undoubtedly went to an asian massage parlor for a handy. That is it. That is all. Period. He got serviced by a 40 something Chinese woman on a work visa, collecting tips for happy endings to pay her vig so she can apply for citizenship. That really is what is happening at 90% of these jack shacks. The underage girls are kept exclusively for rich chinese nationals to service them in their homes. They do not give handies, they give full service. The older women in the spas leave for China a couple times per year to go home to China, or Malaysia, or wherever. They have free travel. They are not prisoners. The younger girls who service the Chinese businessmen and mobsters, i doubt they have the same arrangement. Just facts. I know all this because in my line of work I have spoken with alot of Chinese people, and some people that either work in the spas or know people that do. The girls that work in spas dont even see the traditional "happy ending" as anything close to a crime. I dunno, i see it like this. This country is fu**ed if we see a problem with a 77 year old man getting a handy in an asian massage parlor, but no problem with a woman killing her baby at 40 weeks because her boyfriend broke up with her 5 weeks prior and moved to Canada or Mexico and she cannot collect child support. Lets pump the brakes a bit and wait for all the facts to come out. Let us celebrate the darkness and humiliation this event brings upon the evil empire (the Patricheats).
