Injury question

My oldest son is quite strong and lifts a lot of heavy stuff that he should get help on . Anyway , he was lifting an 8' pallet that was wet . He said that when he went to lift it that his body moved but his arm felt like it stretched his right bicep / arm and now it looks different than his left . Might it be a torn tendon ? I think he is going to make a doctor's appointment in the morning .

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of injury and what it might be .

It does sound like a biceps tendon injury- if there is pain/swelling, weakness in elbow flexion, and if the biceps muscle is retracted upward toward the shoulder. Don't wait- see a doctor (an orthopedist).
