Very cool. That injury on his right side is probably the cause. Looks like maybe he got hit by a car or maybe survived a gut shot or something. I would be looking to put him down this season.

Interesting- there are lymphnodes in the flank where that "injury" is. The deer could also have something like cancer or an infection somewhere else in the body. We see that happen with the cows. The deer looks fine otherwise though. I also wonder if the deer truly is a buck? Maybe a hermaphrodite or antlered doe.
