Culvercreek hunt club
Here are a few of the better ones. I wigh the camera didn't white wash the image of the deer at that last half hour of light. Must be the combination of the IR and available light. TOo bad I would have liked a clear pic of him. looks like a good one. Edited August 29, 2012 by Culvercreek hunt club

sampotter
Nice deer. I remember LL Rue III writing about deer working sticks and stubs at that height. Hard to notice. I would be interested to see what other action you get there.

Culvercreek hunt club
forehead,,,cheeks and nose. Very gently too. it is just a loose stick leaning over a log. if he and others keep using it it will slowly get move about 30 yards behind the camera.....where the stand it...lol
Cabin Fever
Nice bucks! Are the pics from your camp?
Culvercreek hunt club
No. From home. I will be moving them up to camp on the 15th of Sept. No more cameras after that at home. I won't to give it a few weeks to rest up...lol. These were all taken over one patch of Touch me nots---Jewel weed. If you can find a patch of it in a wet area I guarantee the deer are eating it. Seems like candy to them . Even in years with heavy ag crops around the property they still eat it to the ground. (and once the little seed pods ripen the 'nuts' inside taste like peanuts) http://www.ppws.vt.edu/scott/weed_id/ipaca.htm
sampotter
Growing up in CT we almost always had a bachelor group of bucks feeding on a huge patch of Jewel Weed down the hill from our farm.
