pistolp71
Went up over the weekend. Even with me sleeping half the time I saw a bunch of does and small bucks. Lots of forkies. Thought about sticking a doe but it was real warm out and didn't want to deal with it. I was actually looking to shoot a coyote with my bow more than anything. letinmfly
I hunt and Walton the only buck I've seen this fall was killed by a car in fromt of my house a few weeks ago. Wasn't a legal buck, new 3 point rule, but it would have been for my 15 year old nephew. Oh well... hopefully there are a couple of more that I haven't noticed. Good luck to everyone this fall and be safe!!
fairchaser
4O in Sanford - Good numbers of deer this year during archery. The number of mature bucks seems to be down though. I own some ground and travel from South Jersey.
sweet old bill
opening day and only one shot at 830 am in back of me on the side hill. Went back in at 930 and took the wife to the store in Oneota and on the way back looked across from my house on swart hollow and on top of the hill there was 7 doe / fawns. Nothin in the Pm at all. letinmfly
Not many shots heard on opening day. My nephew was one of the few shots heard, he shot a nice 6 pointer at 7am. He's 15 and took his first racked buck. The buck was bird dogging a doe at the time.
pistolp71
Guess it depends where you are. There was a little less shots opening day but still MANY. My group had plenty of action. Lots of small bucks and does. Only legal buck I saw I couldn't get a shot at, almost. Big coyote too.
BigMike
My one friend shot a 6 pointer this past weekend in 4O. Not really sure exactly where but it was his first buck. He was sitting for and hour or so and walked 40 feet in front of him. He was telling me he heard a lot of coyote also.
