Getting old really sucks. Somehow I got the idea that November 17th was this coming Saturday. That's the problem with being retired ..... dates and times only mean something when you have a doctors appointment or something .... lol.

So anyway, there I was this afternoon pounding the hell out of my shoulder, sighting in the shotgun like a dummy thinking I would be using it in a couple of days. When I came in, I got on the computer and happened to look down at the date, and immediately figured out that even though things are all zeroed in real nice with the Ithaca, I am about a week ahead of myself.

I was already writing this archery season off as a failure and now it turns out that there is a very good week of bowseason left. Big dummy!

LOL not even that old yet and I can relate. I remember one year the last weekend of bow someone showed up at camp with all there gun gear switched out for there bow gear ready to go. Sure seemed like a long drive home and back to camp again that night.

I can't remember ever getting that far out of wack with the calendar, especially when it comes to a hunting season. That could have gotten real ugly ... lol.

lol like all above statements i could have been worse. but on the plus side you still have a full week to rest the shoulder knowing that you are sighted in. best of luck to you one the real opener.

Especially bad during deer season when the days sitting in the tree all seem to run together. Bet there are a lot of the working class that wish they had this problem..? LOL

Doc,do you have one of the 3" x 5" spirial pads that fit in your pocket to write notes in,I laughed at the old guys in work that wrote every thing in them to remind them when and what to do,Now I do that but half of the time forget to look at it.

No spiral pad yet, but then maybe it's getting about time for that.
