Elite Bow?

Of course I will try them both out before making a decision. Field & Stream did a 10 bow comparison in a previous back issue. Out of the 10 bows they shot and evaluated, the Bowtech and Elite rated #1 and #2. I have been a Mathews fan for over 15 years now, starting first with their Ultra-Light model, and still shooting their Switchback model now. Think the time has come to try something different.

The 10 fps won't make any real noticeable difference especially inside 40 yards. You want one that feels the best. For me it was the 2013 hunter.

Shootability over speed any day from a hunter perspective. There's a reason most of the highly regarded hunting bows are not the speed demons of their respective year/generation.

Recently, I was able to shoot the 2014 E35 and E32 bows.  I'm looking to upgrade sometime early next year, and I'm sold on these Elite models.  The 35 has an amazingly smooth draw cycle, the 32 is a little harsher towards the end, but it's smaller and faster.  At the moment, I'm still leaning towards a 70# 32, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

A few years ago I ordered my Hoyt. While he was setting up my new bow the shop owner said, "have you tried one of these?  I just got them in."  I drew it and knew I had bought the wrong bow.  My next bow after I get my kids outfitted will be an Elite.

I wish there was an Elite dealer closer by me.  It'd be nice to try one out.  the new Energy 35 seems like a great bow.

With my ridiculous draw length (31 1/2") I went with the Pure, limited in my choices but extremely happy with the result.

Just 6' 3". 

  I have a Bowtech and an Elite and really like them both but the Elite has a much better valley and letoff.
