I forgot. You hunt on private or public ? Makes a big difference.

And Danny,

I wouldn't climb that ladder if you paid me. I can see it's secured with heavy duty wire, but I bet it still feels like it's moving on windy days. No way, no how, but really cool.

Private. Why do you ask? We have plenty of permanent hang ons. But a lot of tight spots and thick areas making it a little harder to build a fort. I think if I hunted a field, plot or open hardwoods id love a fort. But we change locations a lot to reflect pattern changes.

25ft, on a metal telephone pole, has high tension wires, buried using a pole digger, that thing is going nowhere

he shoots an 8-10pt every year out of the stand, and he is 71yrs old

25' isn't that bad then. Most of our hang ons are close to 30. That picture makes it look closer to 50 haha

I forgot I also love these single tree wood stands too, not much can go wrong with them. 

 

 

This is the last tree tree I built, it blew over in the storm 2 years ago.

We've enjoyed this one for the past 13 seasons or so.

here is one of my favorites.  I have 5 of these on my property.  This one borders a swamp and a beaver dam the deer cross.  By the way I saw 7 deer out of it this morning.
