Doe down

Have been seeing lots of does and our freezer was empty, took this nice size doe. 5 doe came in late this afternoon and proceeded to feed under the apple trees. Was really hard to get a shot as one would eat another would look in my direction, so I had to move very slowly and cooked the hammer on my dad's trusty 35. Took aim and drooped her in her tracks, heart shoot. She will make for some good eating.

Thanks everyone. Yeah that's the first time for me that I had to pull an apple out of a deer's mouth....lol. She's all butchered and in the freezer.

So far our sightings at our mountain are low, they still haven't cut the corn and hopefully they move in when it gets colder. It might be tough to even fill a permit there this year.
