I didn't a quick search this morning before posting it. I apologize for posting it. Although, both "Rape doesn't deserve the death penalty" and "Let cops do their jobs" are things I've heard from the anti-gun crowd.

This is one of the many problems in our society today. Some piece of shit can go rape a woman or a child and get 10 maybe 15 years and be back out on the street. Sure they are on a list but how many times do you see on the news "so and so raped by registered level whatever scumbag." You make that choice to rape someone and you get convicted, thanks for playing you should be killed PUBLICLY and PAINFULLY! So these other douchebags get the point. There are little to no consequences for these animals and they just make a mockery out of the justice system every time they repeat offend. Certain crimes I have ZERO tolerance for. As should anybody with a wife, mother, or child.

Did I miss something in that read...for it's still speculation as to what avenue this disgusting thing took to get out there...even though the Brady group denied it.... he did say that it was a supposition that anyone in the gun rights column did this...still unknown?...What did I miss?

Just curious... how do you guys feel  now that you know it's a phony.  Are you as outraged as you were when you thought it was put out by the Brady Campaign?  Do you still want to flog whoever put it out?

I don't like the far right or left wing nuts. Their screws are too loose! And Yes they should all be flogged!

But returning to the context of the poster, as I've always told my now 16 y.o. daughter from as early an age as I can remember, if any one touches you or harms you in any way you will be visiting daddy in jail and the family of the one who harmed you will be visiting their headstone.  (Yeah I know, I'm speaking from my emotion and not my brain, I don't care, it's Friday)

Pointing out absurdity ..... with absurdity. No, it's never right to falsely identify as someone else to make a point against them. As far as whether those sentiments really are not in the minds of the people of the Brady organization ...... The jury is out. Frankly knowing the extent that these anti-gunners will go in their rabid campaigns to eliminate guns, certainly made that message a more believable representation.

So before we get all weepy for the Brady bunch and start sniveling about how they have been mis-represented, let's understand that a message of that sort coming from them might really not be all that far out of character.

Doc, nobody defended the Brady Campaign.  But, thanks for pointing out that our perception of their message makes it easy to believe any non-sensical propaganda about left-wing extremists that gets fabricated by right-wing extremists.

Listen  This is a real bad subject all the way around but realism has to come into play when I read some of the gut felt honest feelings this brought out...as with any thing in life some times there just aren't absolutes...DNA has proven that time and again sometimes there are just as bad  woman as there are man. Woman have been known to lie..unfortunately for all of us...there have been wrong identification ...even though few and far between...there have been men jailed and then released that were innocent....Anyone one attacked should be able to fight back and defend them selves...even to the point of shooting...but lets hold off on the public ...painful killing things until all avenues are looked at...physical proof of the correct assailants...in any crime...then string them up and slowly pull each muscle groups from their limbs one at a time...

PS...I miss spoke yes there are absolutes...but we need to make sure we get to them before extremes are handed out...a woman in an attack...should be able to solve that question on the spot if possible...Then the law can act accordingly

I think who ever made up the poster was trying to illustrate how ridiculous some anti gun people are, by being ridiculous himself. No Im not outraged, but thats just me,

Ants, if it was meant to be satire, the person who created it would have taken credit.  It was intended to discredit the Brady Campaign.  You would surely be outraged if the Brady Campaign put out a poster  that attributed false statements to the NRA.

Yeah..I guess I would, but the way I see it, the poster was so over the top that it could be nothing but satire. I didn't think it was serious from the start.

I don't for a minute believe that your outrage over this poster is based on your perception that there has been a terrible and unfair mis-representation, but rather you feel a need to defend your comrades in socialist ideologies. But frankly, I am not convinced that whoever came up with this poster (whether it is indeed a Brady creation, or just an insightful representation of Brady mentality) didn't indeed portray real thoughts that these gun fanatics maintain. You call it nonsensical propaganda as would be expected of any Brady supporter who felt this poster hit too close to home. I call it a plausible representation of an organization that has shown themselves to be rabid anti-gun fanatics.

Ok Doc. Whatever. I was never outraged over this thread. I just pointed out that it might be a good idea to verify the source of that poster before blasting the group that the poster was intended to discredit. You seem to be exactly the type of guy that that phony poster was hoping to rile up.

My wrath toward the Brady bunch and my "blasting" of this group, was established long before this poster was even being conceived. To me it really doesn't matter what the origin of the poster is. I see it as an insightful commentary on the stupidity of the Brady bunch, and whether the words originated with them or not, I have no doubt that these are sentiments that I might hear from any member of that group, or any other supporter of them.
