clayshooter25
Did some duck hunting yesterday with my youngest son. Mallards, Black Duck and Geese were everywhere! Here's a photo of Anthony with his first ever duck. It was the only duck to set into the decoys. All other shots were at quite a distance. He will be eating Duck Cacciatore with wild rice for lunch today. What a great moment... I am proud to have passed on the love of hunting to both my sons!

Pygmy
Congrats to Anthony and his proud Dad.. I still remember my first duck..A drake woodie taken 50 years ago..I could still take you to the very tree along the Canisteo river where I sat when I shot it with my 16 gauge Rem 11-48... And as far as EATING !! I like nearly all wild game and gamebirds, but in my opinion nothing beats puddle ducks...Teal are my all time favorite, but mallards, woodies, and early season blacks are excellent also.
