Big Indian
my 1st ones bought this past season were moultrie M5. I was happy with them and they worked well for me,Plus they were around $79.00 at dicks. I am sure you will get a multitude of answers and opinions but here is mine....Good luck Edited January 6, 2014 by Big Indian
fasteddie
I have a few different cams but so far I like the Primos Truth Cam Blackout . It takes 4D batteries that last quite well . They run $80 at WalMart . The Moultrie GameSpy I35 has been another good camera .

Zag
Buy one that has a long battery life. I had some wildviews that drained batteries like no tomorrow. Don't get a white flash either.
ItalianHunter5
The above is all correct. Stealth Cams are atrocious, my most expensive cam and the trigger speed on it is awful. I have it to take 9 pics each time and most of the time all 9 are of nothing. Wildview also does drain batteries, it usually lasts me 3 weeks in that cam. Granted it was in a very heavy deer area. Zag
Speaking of white flash. Yrs back I bought the cheap wildviews. I had it near my stand. One morning I had some deer in the food plot. One doe got close to the cam. The flash went off and it scared the crap right out of her and ran 2 counties away. That was a lesson learned. Doc
I do have one white-flash camera, in fact I just bought it. It is not used for deer scouting, but for other animals where picture quality is important. Most of these kinds of pictures will be taken at night and the IR cameras will get you only black and white images of not all that great quality. The purpose for my white-flash cam is to get those higher quality critter (foxes, coons, rabbits, mink, muskrats, beavers, etc.) pictures. So, the purpose of the cam is important in the selection. woodchuck
I bought a browning last year. Battery life was great. Pictures were good quality. Covert makes good cams as well. I may pick up one more of each. I buy most of my cams from wing supply. If someone on here has a discount code and posts it you could save even more money. genesee_mohican
I did a fair amount of research before buying a Moultrie Game Spy M-80XT Infrared, 5 MP. It has great battery life and takes good quality pictures day and night. I've had it out 6 mos now with no issues. I saw them on sale at the Gander Mt store in Roch for $
