That's a good question. Is that situation educational or traumatic for the little ones? Perhaps it is something that starts out traumatic but can be changed into something instructional. I'm not a great one to handle these kinds of things, and seldom really know exactly the right thing to say. What age is it appropriate to introduce a young impressionable child to the violent facts of life as they occur in nature? I don't know.

Yeah, you're right. I guess we do spend too much time trying to psychoanalyze every little thing that a kid eventually gets faced with. It has been such a long time since I was a kid, that I can't even recall my reactions to these kinds of scenes .... lol. Like I said, I never was real great at handling these kinds of things with kids. Do it with humor? ...... That probably would be my approach too......lol.
