Heavy rain is the worst. If it stops raining head to an open field. Ive hunted in a light rain or mist. Its not enjoyable but gotta work with what mother nature gives ya. Make sure you have some mouth calls, or glass or acrylic pot calls. Calling for possible showers here in 8f....but it keeps changing so who knows. If it starts raining when i get to my spot ill wait it out in the truck!

I have the mouth calls already packed the last 3 years i have got good response back from mouth calls compared to other calls and gonna chalk the box call. I am gonna use my ground bling I received for christmas big enough to fit 2 ppl comfortably if its pouring out so I should be in good position in 9P area. Good luck to all who plan to head out not alot of turkey hunters in the area i hunt and i always feel as A bad day in the woods rain or not beats a good day at work.

Fields because they like open spaces that they can see better in and the insects that they done on will be abundant when it's raining also because they're tail feathers will not drag and get as wet on the underbrush and it's not as loud raining in fields.

So I'm assuming pipeline cuts are a good spot to sit on during raining times??

Not a darn thing all morning windy wit in again off again showers. Rooster two lastnight get up hit the spot at about 430 and they were down and gone. Go back to camp have breakfast and just for shits n giggle blow the old owl call at 1130 and hear 3 different gobbles. And they came in range at about 1201 that's my luck.

Hey everyone. With everyone in lock down mode, i'm sure most of you are spending your time watching hunting videos, or  thinking about this upcoming spring turkey season. To get you pumped up for the upcoming spring season, I've attached 1 of my YouTube videos from last spring! Now this hunt isn't in NY. This hunt was on the opening morning of the Pennsylvania season. The exciting thing about this hunt is this was the first turkey that i've ever shot with a bow! Something that i've always wanted to do! This is also a two part episode to my PA season, so be sure to watch them both!. Hope ya'll like the video, and that ya'll watch the rest of the videos on my channel! There's also some great whitetail hunting videos as well! After you watch the videos, if you like what you see, would you please subscribe to my YouTube channel and share it with your hunting buddies!? I'm trying to build this channel up and actually make something of it! It would be greatly appreciated! Leave a comment and let me know what you think! God bless and stay healthy!

Here's a fun one, guess the beard length on this little girl.   Before the peanut gallery gets too excited about taking a bearded hen, this was tagged in the fall of 2013 in Philadelphia NY, she was one of about 50 birds roosted on this farm the first week of October. Something between to 37-38 of them was hens. Locales such as my homesteads I'd be hard-pressed to shoot a hen in the fall or bearded hen in either season. On this farm, it would be no big deal to see 100+ birds in November back when I hunted it.

      Hey guys,
It's always been a dream of mine to someday run an outfit. I know it's no walk in the park to start up a bussiness, espically in a state like NY but I was wondering if anyone on here has any information and tips they wouldn't mind sharing.
